Hey! So I’m pretty new here, I bought the game this week after the free play period. Of course, not knowing QUITE what I was getting myself into (I work weekends, so I had maybe 2 hours of play time before I decided I liked the game enough to buy it) I bought the base game.
Long story short I would like to purchase some of the DLCs now. Ideally I could just upgrade the edition I have (20$ CND) to the complete edition (60$ CND) for the difference (as has oft been available on steam previously).
Problem: that’s not available. Instead one would have to spend an extra 60$ CND (total 80$ CND) to acquire what is also on the store for a total of 60$ CND.
Maybe it’s just me, but I’d like the option to just upgrade my edition of the game to the Complete Edition :^)
If it’s already there, I must’ve missed it and I apologize lmao
did you try to put the complete edition into your steam shopping card? not sure if it is the same with conan as it was with the ark season passes. I owned one of the ark dlcs and when I purchased the season pass which includes the dlc the price of the season pass was lowered. can’t test it with the conan because I own all dlcs.
I actually did! What happened was it gave me a warning saying that I already owned “Conan Exiles” and would not receive and extra copy by purchasing the complete edition. Steam apparently does not see that as an “upgrade”, but rather purchasing a 2nd copy.
I wish the solution were that easy :^(
Most games provide discounts on bundles/editions if you already own content in the bundle (i.e Borderlands 2) and just subtract it from your bundle price.
