People are quitting Conan

,

Let’s not forget the fish trap and starving thrall debacle. Things were changed because people voiced their opinion. Those 99% need to speak up or lose to the 1%. Regardless of what I enjoy doing in the game (pvp, pve, rp) I don’t enjoy the new movement. The horse movement isn’t great either. Tweaking needs to be done. And what’s with this slow movement while mounted crud when over encumbered and in full encumbrance build? Mount is pointless unless you enjoy falling off cliffs and running into trees/rocks…

Ahhh LOL Ok. Makes a lot more sense now! Thanks.

Fish trap and thrall feeding was no big deal either way. This update is a fundamental change to combat mechanics and is here to stay. I do think they will do a couple tweaks to momentum though.

That video does look like your typical player that complains on the forums.

Odd since my PVE-C has seen a huge increase of players.

Well sure if you like playing in 10 min. Increments. Don’t look in inv. btw :sunglasses:

I didn’t like the new dodge at first for pvp, now I’m swallowing the bitter pill and getting used to it, but please this game has been broken in a way or another since day 1.
Who remember the bug where you would climb a base, disconnect, reconnect, and you would be teleported inside people bases? And the bug that allow you to see through walls that just made a comeback? or teleporting items trough wall that’s also still there? Also, desync that allow you to cross through base walls, still there, overlapping and take over other people claim still there.
I personally take it with “filosophy” and enjoy bugs, but some others might get very frustrated.

There is a post called “discontent is a feature” and I think the guy who made that post is right, it’s now about retaining players, it’s about getting a 1000 new players to buy the game and play 1 hour when new content is out. I hope not, I sure hope not. But it feels that way.

Just to let you know where, or more when, i come from: Purchased: Jan 31, 2017

Its still just some days after the patch u will see the playercount go down, believe me.

This update was supposed to be a mount release update, but it was much more. And a majority dont like it. Ofc ppl still playing, people dont leave stuff they worked on for months, but if something happens and they lose their stuff they probably wont come back.

Just want to bath in the glory of your sheer arrogance a little before it gets hidden by the flags.

you are right, i m pvp player and i like this update, more diversity, more challenging, and pvp better (people in light armor dodging and turning is not the game i want for conan)

Well I havent quit, and I dont have months of work on any servers, I play on a server that wipes every now and then, I am still enjoying the game even though I am not 100% thrilled with all the changes.

I know that the negatives of the updates are things that can be tweaked and changed over time, I am not one of those doomsday types that rushes to cry about how the sky is falling because of a little rain

Now sure there will be those that do stop playing, it happens, heck people stop playing because some guy raided their months of work, some of those players may come back in a few days, some maybe a few weeks, others months, heck there was a post today from a guy who returned after a year. I think at this point to jump to the assumption that players are leaving in droves over the update and basing it off no real data or sources but just hearsay and personal experience, well it’s just not fair, accurate or wise.

Believe me if players start leaving in mass, the devs will likely know about it way before you do.

If people leave it’s just that it’s the last straw that breaks the camel’s back. They should not have fun anymore on the game if the recent update is enough to make them leave without waiting a few days to see if adjustments will be made.

On the other hand outside of what we can think or not of the update, it is urgent that Funcom communicates with players. Will there be any adjustments? What do they think of the poll they launched themselves? The patience of the players is not unlimited, and there is nothing worse than not knowing where we are going. Whether there is a rollback, adjustments, or nothing at all, Funcom needs to be clear.

I think more players might accept the combat changes if the game was not constantly crashing.
Also, character animations while gathering resources are choppy, not fluent and unnatural now.

I guess they left your server and came to ours. The population on our PvP server has increased quite a bit.

I always wore heavy armor anyway, so the roll is far better than the old shuffle step.

Guys OP specifically complained about archery damage and how everyone in PvP is now cheesing with archery. As far as I can see this has nothing to do with the momentum or rolling changes.

You’re welcome. It deserves to be seen.

Thank you for providing the least informative statement in the thread. I play both PvE and PvP. PvE has gotten ridiculously easy with the new thralls. I leveled up a Berserker to 4, and I don’t have to do anything but watch now. It’s taken a bit of fun out, so now I play naked for a challenge. We can stand in front of a king scorpion and not get hit with the new roll. It’s all about timing.

So, before you go on a tangent about how long people have played, what type of game they play, etc, I’ve been in game since July of 2018, Played both PvE and PvP, although I prefer PvE simply based on the building aspect. I’ve killed everything in the game multiple times, run every dungeon, and collected every weapon. It helps to have played every type of game prior to commenting on changes.

It does indeed

I am just stating the obvious. The PvE aspect of the game was far to easy, everyone knows that. Now that there is a bit of challenge, malcontents do nothing but complain.
