Permanant extreme cold

No it’s because the post is about still having extreme cold even after getting my temperature into the red, the thermometer went from extreme cold to warm, I still had the debuf, I them move it to the red where I get the very hot debuf, extreme cold still wouldn’t go away, I was still taking damage. The issue is the debuf not going away, not me getting it, I repeat, the issue is NOT getting the debuf, the issue IS the debuf not going away after stabilizing the temperature.

Hey there,

Just chiming in to let you know our team has been giving the temperature system a little bit of love. Some changes are coming in regards of how it’s telegraphed to players so you can react to it better and with less confusion.

Climate is mostly fine for me in most areas.
It needs also some harshness in the game. But of course bugs should be fixed, and people should get the armour protection while off-line and still in world.

Sorry, the other comments have put the wrong impression of the report, it’s a bug report not a complaint on the temperature system. I experienced a bug in which the extreme cold debuff persisted even after getting my temperature to normal, and even still after pushing to very hot, I was still experiencing the damage effect of extreme cold even at normal temperature and hot temperature. The bug is a temporary debuf becoming permanent. (it would be like if I had the poison or bleed effect even after 10 minutes of being outside of combat)

You are not understanding, this is a bug report about a debuf not going away even after causing conditions being removed, I stated what happened to state how I got it, I knew what I was doing and made the choice to allow extreme cold effect me, the issue was when about the 20th time receiving it, the effect would not go away, even after getting my temperature to normal, and as a test I pushed it to very hot with no change.

There are 2 heavy armors that give the strength buff; (DLC) Pictish, and Hyperborean, both are heat resist 5 I was wearing upgraded pictish which is heat resist 10, I’m cold in Sepermeru, I use the solspiel a shield with cold resist 5, this allows me to operate normally in the highlands area without worry. The Cimerian steel is Vitality, I don’t want vitality, when I need to go to the snow I use the (DLC) Turanian Palanx which is agility, it’s not ideal but has to do. Your advice is meaningless as if I wanted to know these things I’d look at the wiki which I often do, your advice is also off-topic and not appreciated, this is about a damaging debuf that requires a certain temperature stat to remain persists after the temperature stat is too high for it to still be occurring.

Let’s put this into simpler terms as you don’t seem to understand after all my attempts.
Lets put the temperature gauge on a scale of 0-100 0 being frostbite and 100 being heatstroke, I was in a situation (By Choice) that kept me in the area of 30 (very cold) it’s only a worry when I’m low on water, I have to unequip a piece of gear that was maintaining temp and now I’m at 15 (extreme cold) I quickly complete the task and reequip the gear and return to normal, I repeat this process multiple times but on a single occasion the effect of 15 continues to occur even when I’m at 30, both effects are showing however the one that should not be there is causing damage. I grab my cold protection gear and gem my temp to 70 (very hot), the effect of 15 still persists as the game thinks I’m at both temperatures of 15 and 75 and I continue to take damage.

Is this easier for you to follow? My choice of gear isn’t the point of the subject, it’s a personal preference that I have that I know how to manage and prefer to manage over the alternative, I’m not stupid, I’m just trying to inform the developers of a glitch that occurred, I was under 2 separate temperature effects, this should not be possible, it was made worse because the one that wouldn’t go away was a DOT effect one. The extra information on my location and gear I gave was to inform them that I naturally reached the debuf, it didn’t occur by mistake, it persisted by mistake.
