Waiting for the 3.0 update here, you can give a try to Planet Crafter. Very interresting game in early access.
It is good to see and test others games, and may be we can take some good ideas and transfer them to conan! 
I am waiting for the lakes to finish forming. Have you tried the new crater zone? I got lost in some caves and couldn’t find my base lol. This was before figuring out what the beacon was for

Yes for crater.
To success :
- first explore the map and collect everthing from abandonned ships, chests and gold chests. (you can build mini bases with food and water + storage).
- level up
- then build a real base in the middle of the map.
- send many rockets
