Please For The Love of CROM, Get it Together Funcom

So after the complete debacle of Vanishing Settlers (Ooops I meant Living Settlements) I Have started The Freya Questline or as I am now calling it, “The Freya Waste of Time” Where you log in, play for 5minutes and then log out and come back tomorrow for another 5-10 minutes play.

@Funcom WTF were you thinking that making people wait 8 real time hours between tiny quest stages was going to be “fun” for anyone ?? Seriously this latest age has just been the biggest screw up and disappointment and most poorly thought out and implemented “Age” yet.

I love this game. I have thousands of hours (seriously, over 3800hrs) on it but you do nothing anymore to make playing it any fun. It’s become a chore and increasingly boring with every bad decision you guys n gals are making. It offers so much promise, and yet fails to deliver. It’s like not one person in the ideas department actually has any common sense when dreaming up this stuff.

Why 8 real time hours?? It makes absolutely no sense from a gameplay perspective and is completely irrelevant to any in game passing of time

Why not make it 2, 3 or 4 ingame days, that would make some sense as it’s tied in.

Making your ENTIRE PLAYER BASE wait real world days complete these quest lines is just so mind bogglingly moronic I truly feel that some of the devs or whoever is trying to make new content is genuinely pulling shit out of their arse just to justify their job. And the rest of you are buying it. [Facepalm]

And then there’s the Boar Boss that’s taking players hours to find, IF IT SPAWNS AT ALL, no thought given to the players whose game time is limited.

We’re not just bored kids with heaps of free time. We are working living functional adults in the real world looking for some downtime with a fantasy world we love…

And you just sit there and waste our time with poorly thought out and implemented ideas.

PLEASE, on behalf of what player base you have yet to drive away I BEG you to stop making stupid decisions. Put polls out and ask the people who are supporting this game if they think this idea or that idea is good or not, BEFORE you even beta test it.

What I’d like to know is…

Is that eight hour timer based on real-world time, or server uptime? In other words, if I can play an hour a day on Single-Player, does it take me more than a week to get to the next step in the quest line (and hope it isn’t bugged)?

8 consecutive hours, real time (not ingame) and I’m on my 3rd or 4th wait with Freya and 1st 8 hr wait with Liu Fei.

So it it’s midday when they need to rest then you come back 8 hrs later (so 8.00pm or longer) and they’re good to continue till the next “rest”.

It’s infuriating having to wait this long for no good reason to do these quests.

Obviously, they time gate those thralls because there isn’t much to do in this update. What are we exactly getting in this new age? The living settlement which is disappointing even if it worked, 2 thralls (one isn’t even worth getting), Freya’s sword, Liu Fei’s outfit, and a mini statue of Conan, that’s about it? Suppose we get these thralls, now what? Do we go back to refreshing our base once a week and wait another couple of months for the next chapter just to be disappointed again? Even if this new Age isn’t broken/buggy, I personally think this age is seriously lacking content.

there is also a helmet from Freya but it is bugged - it lacks texture , so it is “invisible”
because obviously no one at FC thought to try it on

Alrighty, let’s add that invisible helmet to the list… Still not enough to keep players around. I would’ve been more happy with an update like switching from map to map and bringing weapons and whatnot back home. That to me is more content than this so-called Age of Heroes update.

So comparatively new

This should prove interesting because the boss boar spawn has been built over on the server I’m on.

I haven’t tried these yet, not that motivated.
I prefer the events.
My question once you’ve done these and funcom, well, funcoms another update and poofs your side kicks you worked so hard to get, are you going to do the quests again?

:point_up_2:

You know one of my favorite things about 7D2D? Yes the land claim block but besides that. The trader jobs. I hate 1st person, but will set there and do trader jobs all day. That is why I loved the battle pass, I logged in to jobs to do.

I’d bet next chapter will be 2 more side kicks, in what 6 months.

Serious question funcom, do you all have more then 5 people working on Conan, counting Dennis? Because what we are getting now isn’t as good as some small garage developers games. What I see in Conan now is what I would expect of some 3 man struggling garage developers that have day jobs.

Honestly I’m not that thrilled with this new age. Why don’t you guys focus on improving existing and forgotten features and fixing bugs instead of adding new stuff for a while.

Things forgotten and almost useless like AHEM …GODS things that are already in the game and are an integral part of the actual game.

My 2 cents

Have you seen the dev streams? They cant aim and run through the door opening. These are they guys who make this game
