Hello I need help please? A person has used a command to use my name and say insults on the whole server pretending to be me. What command is he using? Can we ban him please? it’s becoming unbearable for all my clan and the server people.
Its not a command or hack or cheat. You notice that it would be the same person that will say something in chat, usually one word or a very short sentence. Then they add a certain number of spaces behind they comment and due to the chat box size, it will put the next word on a new line in the chat box. They type your name then a vulgar comment.
Its been around for years.

Should I be happy then that we do not have chat on consoles? It is a frustrating part, isn’t anything that can be done about it, some players are old and cannot handle these situations, it’s sad that little trollers can bring upside down everything.

It’s strange because the messages do not follow one another or he does not write before.
Next time it happens, watch the name of the person that speaks right before they use your name to say something bad. See if its multiple people and even potentially from the same clan. Its more then likely a few trolls who are attempting to be funny.
Aside from clicking mute, Im not sure if reporting will do much since it will show in chat that you said it, even though you didnt. Another thing to try, is to remain silent in chat, and to let them do their trolling. Have a clan mate of yours point out that it is fact not you, because if they check the player list, your name will not appear unless YOU speak. If you can remain out of chat, then they can be called out.

They could have just made a character with the same name.
it’s the FunCom ID that can’t be the same.
Next time they speak look in the player list for their FunCom ID

Precisely there is no character of the same name that appears in the list and the Funcom ID remains the same it’s very strange I tried the technique of putting spaces to see if it reproduces the same thing but not at all because he manages to do it with the nicknames of all the people in my clan, I don’t understand at all, it’s really painful. Trolling just because they lose is so childish…
I remember doing this on MH1 on ps2. (And MH Tri on the wii)

Exactly, you can use /E to emote in chat so they either found a command to spoof a players name or hacked the system with an unauthorized program. You need to report it to Zendesk.
