Nope its 0.5 just check it on officials lol it is in the settings
Can you post s screenshot pls?
Nvm, I made a character on one and checked
So it’s as I thought, only the PvP damage is reduced… so Red Mother tests are valid and thralls attack NPCs with normal full damage, it is indeed reduced to 0.5 on officials for PvP damage only though - at least on the Siptah server I randomly joined
im amazed that no one has yet mentioned how it rains inside your house
That was actually fixed some time ago. Roofs are actually working now. I mean, I can see this very clearly in my Mounds of the Dead base where I haven’t finished building my roof. Floor tiles in the open are wet, tiles under a roof are not. Character gets dry/wet look as soon as he crosses this threshold.
Some sloped roof tiles still don’t block the rain
Have some builds where we have sloped roofing and it rains through it but not the flat ceiling tiles
9 - not only in server list but in the entire game
14-Would be very helpful as we are not allowed to build big spaces, should usefull place thralls near each other, and also the temples.
There is a server setting for this and it has been around for a while now
ThrallExclusionRadius
So no need to change the value for all servers when it can be set individually.
I don’t really care much about the map/compass bit but regardless I agree with pretty much everything.
Especially the following for me:
God knows how idiotic it is that I have to keep tabbing out to check what each armor set does every time I pick up the game again and STILL after these many years. This should be basic, priority QOL.
If I have to choose between
Green hell, forest and stranded deep, Green hell is last, really last. It’s one of the most annoying games I ever played, I only finished the story because I paid for it. Stranded deep is a simple game, really simple, but it’s way best than these three, way better!
But comparing these games with Conan exiles is wrong, these tiny games that have the triple bags and glitches than Conan, extremely small and easy maps, no fighting skills just aiming skills, lousy building system, extremely laggy and buggy multi-player, etc, it’s just wrong.
I play years this game that doesn’t have big map too but I still easily disoriented some times, I still didn’t unlock all the weapon skills, because there are, a lot, I am still learning new things and I am wtf???
Conan exiles is an endless pit, a yogs pit.
Last but not least it’s
Survive, build, dominate.
Survival must have a starting role, not a continuous!
Still, I miss @drachenfeles here, his efforts to continue the survival difficulties in this game are very correct, I wish console players one day will be able to buy mods, I will buy his mod 100%.
This is what I’m talking about. Almost all of my builds have slanted roofs. And it’s always raining in my house.
I don’t think you played the green hell I played However I still sort of agree that it’s annoying… I “quit” pretty much every day and then tried again the next day… still haven’t finished the story lol
Oh I did, and I played multi-player too with friends, they were constantly finding gliched places that they were generating all the time materials and we open the map just like that.
The issues?
We were constantly kicked from the game, kept loosing inventory for no reason and mostly other than killing crocodiles, cannibal and wash in an environment that you could barely see some situations, nothing else. Those 3 games are based on your aim skills, nothing else. You survived another day, so what?
If you decide to build something it was godly bugged, less beauty and limited! Mostly something unfinished.
Green hell took just 2 week, some days to finish the story from YouTube guides and some online gaming days. I don’t know if they fixed the online problems now, they were plenty, but I never felt attracted from this game m8. Your armors were either armadillo, bone or anything junky… No thank you.
The same with forest, in the first week I learn where to find the good bow and game over. Especially when I find out the spot that you had no attack and you could farm all the important animals to fix your gears.
Once I joined a new server to help a guy I new from Conan exiles and after 3 minutes in the game I already killed 3 dears with spear throwing, if you aimed correctly it was one shot. He was, omg man, still he didn’t knew that I had spend more than 20 hours so far training to spear throwing! In 3 hours I took him to the final fight full geared…
Stranded deep again between these 3 is top.
The reason? The environment.
Fishing in the ocean, the feeling that you are lost and alone was unique. All your enemies were physical, but this underwater spear fishing is something I beg to see in Conan exiles too. It felt so rejuvenating and it the best part of this game by far.
The story both normal and hard took me 3 weeks, not because it was hard, but because I really loved the nature of this game.
Online however it is A TOTAL FAILURE!
Do you know where I get with Conan exiles single player after 2 weeks of gaming (almost 4 years ago)? To the pilgrimage of volcano and almost died.
I play this game so long, so long and I am still learning…
No comparison! Apples and oranges!
No, what I meant is that a completely different company bought the rights to remake the game in virtual reality. It was released a couple of months ago, that’s the one I played
While a lot of the old bugs are still present and they added a whole heap of new VR-specific bugs, there’s also a lot of new good stuff and the fact that it’s in VR makes it a lot more immersive.
For example you have to craft a fire-plough and actually grab it then use the stick to rub it till you get some embers and that’s how you make a fire
It’s kinda cool, the game is pretty hard though in terms of survival and you can literally take 1 wrong step and die from a tiny spider bite - that’s what I was comparing that in survival terms it’s a bit more “hardcore” than Conan.
@Xevyr
Oh, really sorry m8, I didn’t knew that . Back then it was a terrible experience! What you presenting right now sounds interesting. Now I have to learn a lot again but I can see me trying it again, I like survival games, a lot. Thank you for telling me this
.
no, you do not understand the thing, it is about pets that you can place “on guard”
I believe his understanding of it was spot on
Even provided you with the exact setting to change…
If you go into the ServerSettings.ini file of your server you can simply add the line
ThrallExclusionRadius=100
For example (default is 500 I think), which will allow you to place your thralls and pets on guard right next to each-other shoulder to shoulder
I’ll post something to debunk myths around it tomorrow.
Myths?.. Okay… I mean it’s a factual configurable server setting that works… (I used it on my own server even years ago so it’s not even new)… so it’s not like it’s bigfoot or the loch ness monster.
See? here’s a screenshot from 2020 where I use this setting exactly as stated above set to 100 and I’m not even using LBPR there (which has a setting that does the same).
See? the thralls are right next to each-other, you cannot place them this close without that setting and the value of 100 allows them to go even closer
(it’s actually quite a realistic value for humans as it allows you to place them with their shoulders touching but doesn’t allow them to be placed inside one another)
Like… what is there to debunk about it? However feel free to do so, I’m curious
Better AI. Chased by prey and predator animals all together is silly. Same with npc ignoring thrall that is closer swinging weapon in circles. Combat would look less like a clown show.
I am curious, but do not expect anything
