In other words, because I am a PVE player, you suggest that I am more likely to notice or recall instances where PVP players asked for the SoC to be nerfed over the times where a PVE player asked for the SoC to be nerfed.
So I am asking you to prove my alleged confirmation bias by showing even just one instance (dated before my post asking to see it) of PVE players asking for the SOC to be nerfed.
no link between the nerf of crom & lbs to the point they are now totally worthess and all the threads created here around april⦠serioulsy ?
and now that we state clearly that the majority of players, at least, on this forum, but i think it will be the same if you do a poll in game with even a higher ratio, do not agree at all with this nerf of the most rare and hard item to get in game and that you are afraid that may be funcom reconsider it, you want us to remind that on the forum our advice is not the one of majority.
i hope that on the next post you will do asking to nerf something you will start by saying that you do not represent a majority and that your advice is not a representation of the player base. at least this poll on this tread simply proof that 70% of voter do not share the nerf you asked for (with some others) of lbs spear and crom sword who are now totally garbage. and i do not want either a vampiric effect. because that will be a game breaker for real.
Oh shhhhhā¦oot. I seem have misread your post there Zerog. I thought you said our voices (implying PvP) were the majority on the forum! I was completely wrong. The hour was late and needless to say I was pretty tired at the time. I do offer an unreserved apology for that one. No malice intended.
But for the record, I predict the approval/disapproval percentage would remain very similar both on and off the forum. It doesnt matter if the people on the forum are a smaller number than those off it. The sample size is generalisable in my books. Furthermore, If you want your voice to be heard in politics, you need to enrol and actually turn up to vote on election day. If people cant be bothered heading to the polling booth (ie-the forum), they live with the outcomes. Plain and simple.
Not a problem at all Barnes. Im not among the easily offended. And In that case no apology is even required friend. I also offer my own for any rudeness and for misinterpreting.
Oh and just for the record, Im actually in the fourth combat class; purely an Offline Singleplayer. And hey thats kind of cool you and Zerog play on the same server. So wait Zerog is a ps4 player too!?
Absolutely. I do want to leave this behind. However, based on the numbers above, around 7 out of 10 users are deeply unhappy with the current state of affairs. As such, I cannot stand down while they remain in this state. Something has to give here, or this conflict will just keep going and going (as we have seen). So either Funcom needs to seriously consider reverting them, or we need to try and work out an effective mid-groundā¦together. In fact I believe I may have even found an alternate solution to the Sword of Crom, which to the best of my knowlede anyway, no one else had thought of yet.
Nowā¦yourself, Zerog, Cauthey, and any who would listen, are you ready to try and talk solutionsā¦? (Faithful standing with upturned palm outstreched gestures toward another empty chair on the other side of the negotiating tableā¦)
I actually had another idea for the Sword of Crom recently. This may have been suggested already, however if it has I was unaware. Rather than trying to fix the exploit in the Sword of Cromās current animations, what if we simply changed it? For example, the Katana and Claws of JhebbelSag have animations which are unique among the games weapons. What if instead of trying to get the Sword of Crom to only use the first hit in the animation of the Greatsword, it was given brand new and unique animationsā¦? The sequence would only be one blow in length, so thralls wouldnt be able to bypass the āsequenceā cut off. It would even allow the weapon to keep its unique mechanic. Any thoughts anyone?
It would certainly give it a forceful appearance, but Im not sure that it would be the best option to elicit in this case mate. If its the one I am thinking with the hop upwards then downwards thrust for heavy, and triple spin for light(?). Especislly with the Warhammers newfound hyperarmour, it could mean 2-3 unanswerable hits of 150 damage. In addition, based on the current issue with the Greatsword animations it uses, it is quite possible that they wouldnt be able to play the animation of one blow, without that of the remaining 4 hit combo. Nah I personally say just record it 2 brand new animations, ones which only have a 1 hit combo like the Katanas heavy. But just with a weight blunt force trauma appearance. Similar to but not the Warhammers first blowā¦or maybe the Kinscourges strkesā¦?
Oh definately Zerog, no matter what it looks like. It is the Sword of Croms whole āthingāā¦and its tade off for the high damage rating.
Also honestly, I still wich they would just make it unequippable by thralls! It would make it a great finishing weapon as you said, and there would be no reason not to increase its power. Honestly there are dozens of other high damage output weapons which they can use, it wouldnt hurt to lose one.
This is actually a really cool idea, and if not the Sword of Crom, I would love to see snother Legendary recieve this effect. Maybe Croms Hammer would be a good candidate?
Im starting to come around on this a bit more too. While I prefers Arias 15 seconds before the effect initiates idea, I can still support this. But (hypothetically speaking) I would need to see some kind numbers attached to it.
Sorry WhatMightHaveBeen, intended to get back to this one when you first posted it. However I got sidetracked at some point and forgot about it.
Definately true from a lore point of view. But considering that a lot of PvPers invest heavily in Strenght, be careful that this doesnt come back to bite you.
I so, So agree with this. I have never even once given mine to a thrall. It is my most treasured artifact, Im not going to let one of those wretched meatbsgs hold it even for a minute. It is (well until quite recently) the only Crom religious artifact we recieve in the game. Surely its most useful role in this game shouldnt be to just give it to a slave.
theya re perfecvt the way they are.
lifeblood prior to making this more logical had a 300 hp per seconds on equip and thralls when damage, because funcom sucks at making things work, swap weapon constantly when damaged⦠you just had to equip 3 lifeblood spears to your thrall to make it immortal. considering the new pokemon feature of thralls iut would make the thrall system even more stupid.
also sword of crom always has been a thrall weapon
As cool as that picture is, right now I think this thread is only going to cause more arguments and hostility between the play modes than we already have. Which at the moment is quite a lot.
Sword of crom I donāt really mind it being as itās old form but the lifeblood spear I somewhat do as itās healing was crazy, so my opinion lands in between on that one. Make it useful and have healing, but not the insane amounts it had before it got nerfed. Nothing in this game should be nerfed into the trash where itās just a vanity item on the wall.
Life blood spear needs to be removed from the game. It will never be balanced in a way hat makes people happy. It is free healing for no cost after you obtain it. If it as slow as the third vitality talent people wont even go for it. If itās like an alo potion then itās too strong. Just get rid of it.
Iām pretty sure Funcom could come up with a way to make it useful and interesting, instead of removing it, if they really wanted to try.
For example, you could make it into a weapon that has a reservoir of healing. You fill up the reservoir by killing stuff with it. You use the reservoir by pressing the block button.
That said, it would most likely take a lot of work to implement that.
