Possible new spells?

For the Undead Category: maybe flaming flying skulls that home-In on the enemy and cause sunder and possibly disrupts shields(minimal damage), arms that come out of the ground and cause the slow debuff and it slows enemies and slightly damages them, a spell called encourage the dead; it’s purpose increases zombie attack speed. Illusion: a spell called encourage; it increases human thrall armor by 100 or more depending on how many corrupted points/perks you have, a spell called calm it’s like invisibility except your able to be seen but costs burlap pouch instead. Elemental: a spell called Torrent it allows you to swim faster (stacks with elixirs and armors), a max tier spell called Firestorm it makes the area around the caster hear up significantly and if it gets too hot you take damage, a spell called Blizzard; like firestorm but the opposite, a spell called Earthen Protection it summons a dome over the caster that can be broken with enough damage but it protects the caster from outside damage. Demon summoning: a spell called Corrosive Fiend it summons a fiend or imp that expels poison/ acidic gas around it (huge AoE) it can be killed with ranged weapons or a player with has protection, a max tier spell called hellfire it’s like lighting storm but instead rains fire which increases temperature and causes damage over time (can combine with Firestorm for more damage), a spell called Fire Cloak it negates heat effects for a short time and allows the user to run faster when in hot temperatures (the hotter the temp the faster the user runs, works with spiced food), a spell called hellbolt it shoots a bolt of fire that has slight aim assist (other wise you have to manually aim the spell).

Sorcery in the Hyborian Age isn’t mean to be direct offensive magic. We need less combat casting, not more.

Sorcery is about manipulating things into your favor to control the situation, but when push comes to shove there is no replacement for a good weapon in your hands. Adding in combat magic goes against everything the lore is.

And here I just figured you opposed it because sorcery broke the game, meaning more sorcery will break it worse. :roll_eyes:

The only spells I want:

Sleep - makes any humanoid NPC immediately go unconscious for dragging to your wheels or altars. Casting it again will make the original target wake up.

Hypnotize - forces any hostile humanoid NPC to temporarily flag as friendly under a default “guard me and engage at max distance” behavior. This additional ally would NOT count toward your follower limit, but re-casting it causes the previous victim to snap out of his trance and turn hostile again. The NPC is also hostile again once the duration ends. Lasts 30 minutes.

Sanctuary - bind the elements to your will to create a pocket of corrupted space and become immune to temperature effects or the sandstorm for 30 minutes. Also allows underwater breathing.

Swarm of Insects - surrounds the caster with biting and stinging insects that slows (cripples) all other entities within 5 feet of the caster, lasts 5 minutes.

Weathered Skull, a Sorceror, and Witchfire…
Craft a flaming skull sentinel.
Longish decay time, archer type thrall. Basically a reskin of those spitting bugs from Siptah, but they are also a light source.

As for spells, this one would like to see more in the curse or blight department.
A Lesser version of Harvest Materials that just despawns all of the harvestables in the area, as an act of spite.
A spell that converts all perishables in the area to their rotten/decayed form, or simply accelerates the decay timer immensely.
Perhaps some warding glyphs that work similar to explosive traps but inflict corruption as well as poison when triggered.
A spell that grants Night-Eye.
A spell that inflicts Night-Eye (because that buff sucks during the day) in a radius.
Spells that modify the temperature in an area, either raising or lowering it.
A spell that makes a shockwave and earthquake that has a wide knock-back/knock-down effect while dealing some structural damage.
A spell that generates a plague cloud, basically like the darkness spell, but instead of webs and cowering thralls, it’s a damage over time and cripple effect.

The Floor is now Lava spell.
Also, let the lava wall actually be made of lava…

Perhaps some summons that are not allied.
Just summon the monster and it goes wild, attacking anyone and everyone.
Surprise, it’s a Lloigor!

As we can conjure abyssal armour/weapons, perhaps allow the conjuring of other gear/material from the outer dark, such as Black Blood and Black Ice. Same system, demon arrives, dies, and then the mage harvests their body for the mats.
