PS4 Hotfix (02.05.2019) - PS4 Pro performance fixes, crash fixes and more

You obviously don’t play official, as you’ve stated

They also didn’t need to remove the feature completely, but actually fix it, but that’s what happens when people cry.

i PLAY OFFICIALS. i DON’T USE THE EXPLOIT. but as an admin of my private, we felt it necessary to investigate and know what we are facing.

And you may be the exception, as i have been to multiple servers on officials over the last 11 months, mainly because i don’t like to just farm and put in vaults. I farm to raid, pvp, you know the actual reason for those servers? And 99% of the alphas use every cheese in the book to “own” their virtual kingdoms and feel all safe and warm. Because you haven’t ran across it, well you are lucky. Alone after raiding 2 alpphas in the last 3 weeks, well, lets just say de-spawn bags could have supplied 5 servers in steel and star metal alone.

And i was actually just giving you the info on how farming wasn’t easier than that dupe exploit.

I am sure they will return it, but the fix isn’t always numbers. There is coding that may be buggy, so they removed it for the time being? Seeing as it was an addition less than 3 months ago, it doesn’t really effect the core of th egame. If set up correctly with returns of dismantled objects, it is more of an rp thing, as by the time i come back with all that useless loot and place it in bench, and then sort it out for storage, i could have farmed way more items. People that want more returns from it don’t really want to farm at all, hence it was more valuable to exploiters and trolls in general with the arrow issue. It is a nice luxury to have, but really that is it–a luxery. It shouldn’t be a tool to offset the core of the game, grinding for your mats. And saying it is crying that removed it when all people were doing were reporting a possible bug, is well crying because now people have to put pick to ore.

Like I previously said we never used the bench until endgame and we still grind camps and mine. Not everyone knew about the exploit, I personally didn’t until you told me, and I also started on release but quit for a while after hitting around 54. The bench was a new addition to us upon returning to the game and now certain things can’t be dismantled that was originally useful junk. And why can’t lower tier repair kits and mods be dismantled? I would rather have that than arrows back, honestly.

It would only be useful for people leveling but you would think it would still be a thing. I wouldn’t add legendary kits to the dismantle though because people would just farm those for dismantle

I can agree on that. Lower tier stuff should be on the list.

like that as well. Legendary should blow it up LOL

Before this patch, my pve base would render in after about a minute on load… Now its around 3 minutes… Great patch

On Ps4 Pro here. I only played a bit last night, sound delay issues seem to be improved but not 100%.

Still having some issues with textures loading in. For example, when entering some buildings, it takes a second to load the full resolution textures on ground and walls. The most annoying for me is that sometimes my character’s head texture doesn’t load in completely until I move the camera in real close. This causes a visible seam between neck and body. It only to happens in some areas and with some characters. It’s really distracting.

Are there any updates on this particular issue?

So what should i do mate? i have legit tried everything possible and no servers appear

I honeslty find this phrase a bit unsettling.

Besides the fact that we get PS4 Pro performances “improvements” after 1 year the game launched, while it should have been this way from day one (after all the PS4 Pro out there are JUST 18 millions right ?)… it is scary that the developers need users feedback to identify and fix macroscopic problems the game has running on consoles and especially PS4 Pro since months and months.
Is really like they cannot afford to spend 300 USD/EU to buy a PS4 pro to run their game, and spend 10 minutes in game every day to check things…

I have the same issues. It’s New Asgarth, The Den, The Black Galleon, The Purge, and my own clan members.

Really anything with npcs over a count of two or three

After the 1.39 update I can not play anymore. When the game loads, my character is in slow motion and does not render anything is very lag. But server ping is fine.

ETA on an actual fix?

The patch didn’t change anything for me, I’ve tried online and still have huge audio delay (server ping is 33), Asagarth can’t load properly and switching weapons with the radial menu cause the game to freeze
Offline (no coop) got less audio delay (2 seconds instead of 8), but the assets rendering is still bad, NPC’s are still invisible in crowded places
I’ve played on a PS4 slim and the game works really better, without a 80$ SSD.
Wonder why the pro version is so bad, QA process seems a bit odd those bugs are litteraly 1 year old and you guys drop a 786mb patch to fix audio delay - slow rendering textures - Invisible NPC’s and more !
When I saw it I knew it won’t change anything and It didn’t, was looking forward to this patch but im really disappointed, so are the ppl on official forum or reddit.

Exactly the same issue for me. Unable to play since the patch. The game takes ages to load, when it does it kicks me out citing ‘lost connection to server’. If it does let me continue the lag is atrocious and often my base does not render leaving me in the water on which my base was built. Unable to do anything due to the extreme lagging. I’m hoping this will be fixed soon as I have played this game almost daily since buying it in Dec '18.

Please FC stop asking people questions how exactly the problem appears. This is a console. Buy both a ps4 and a pro and just test the game at least once. Most of the bugs and glitches are so obvious that they immediatley pop up, so it seems you take already more time in asking around than to attempt to fix em. if for many ppl including myself the problem arises in offline solo the only dependancy is your inability to deliver quality.

I can confirm that these sound bugs are still there (PS4 Pro with internal SSD)…
Anyway I’m pretty confident that Funcom will figure this out and fix these issues.
