PS4 voice chat is NOT WORKING!

PS4 voice chat is not working

Game mode: Online | Singleplayer
Problem: Crash | Bug | Performance | Misc
Region: America

Not once since launch have I been able to speak with or communicate with another player aside from using emotes. I’ve tweaked all the PS4 settings I can think of. I’m using a brand new headset and mic plugged into my PS4 controller. It registers nothing from my mic. I’ve heard other players speaking in local chat in game and when they speak a mic icon appears on the left side of the screen with their name. I do not get any kind of icon or notification that my Mic is being registered in game. It makes joining or working with a clan just about IMPOSSIBLE if you can not communicate. Please either fix the bug or publish some EXPLICIT directions about the Playstation settings needed to make local chat work.

i also can 100% verify that my mic works in parties and in other games, but does not work for this game, and ive seen no setting in the menus to enable it or anything

Also having voice chat issues, except I’m getting disconnected from ps4 party chats every couple minutes while the game is open

Also having the same issue on ps4 new Mic plugged in works fine for PlayStation party chat but in Conan I can hear everyone else and everyone else on the player list shows a Mic icon but me I’ve tried everything can’t figure it out its driving me crazy

Same thing.

I love the game. But doing solo pvp without a fonctionnal in game mic system is not enjoyable. Hard for me to make new friends.

disturbing thing is, ive seen this complaint on serval threads, as well as official fb page and not a single comment of acknowledgement from the devs… too busy getting more servers up to fix the game I suspect

if the servers didnt have absurdly massive lag spikes when its saving, or at least thats what it seems like is causing it, and the voice chat worked. most of the other issues wouldnt bother me all that much.

Same here. I’ve seen this issue mentioned all over the place but no response from the devs…

voice chat doesn’t work and i don’t hear the other players. see everyone bar has the mic icon but not for me.I play on PS4

I think if I’m not mistaken, that if you activate the emote radial menu (down on d-pad) that it makes it where you can voice chat. I could be wrong but it works for my friends and I.

I hope they fixs it soon.

No option for that. If I push the dpad I come in the inventory. And in the emote radial menu I can only use emote like bow or wave

Same issue, I dont hear other players , but I see their name flashup on left side of screen . As if they are speaking. I thought maybe there was some global PS4 option that I might of switched off years ago …but no , not that easy lol

Still no word from devs…
I see this issue on 20+ topics but haven’t seen one with a reply .
I been having this since day 1
See the player list everyone has a mic symbol but me .
I have really good Polk audios that work great in ark and all other games
They even work if I send a voice message to another player from the server list .
However in game …nothing!
I see others mic symbol and can hear them but can’t respond.
They must think I’m a non English or anti social squeaker.

I wish Devs would say something, hell anything, even we have no clue what the problem is.
But ignoring all the threads is annoying at best.

Bump! I’m having the same issue. Every player in the server list has a mic icon but myself. But I am able to use PS4 Party Chat during the game just fine. But I can’t speak to other players in local chat whatsoever
