How come we can see other players health bars and status effects? I understand Ids, but seeing the health bar and the buff icons seems out of place. Let me explain. Would pvp have more fun if there was an air of uncetainty. Not seeing the bar seems it would add a “deceptive” depth. We even have a sorcery effect that “hides” you aesthetic. But seeing the amount of health on thier health bar seems like a “cheat”. I am not talking about NPCs, just other players. Alot of pvp is driven by “they are one hit”. We cant see thier stamina bar, so why see thier health bar?
I like it, the blood splattering on the body could be an indicator but much less accurate rather than a visual bar and numbers.
Seeing enemy stamina bars would be HILARIOUS ![]()

But seeing the health bar and whether they have buffs is pretty important IMO.
i’m pretty sure you can turn off healthbars in the settings if you don’t want to see them.
I was going to say it’s a good thing you can turn them off in the settings then and have.. fun
but @dirtyjim1 was quicker
Whyis it important? I knownits a game, but when possible, reakity (especially in competitive play) should be strived fpr. Not knowing means feining wrakness ,using a sorcery build etc add more depth than " He is one shot" and 4 clan descend on the enemy.
You need to know where they stand on health in order to gauge effectiveness of your own hits, you need to know how much damage you’re doing so you can weigh going for that last hit or peeling for stam and heal knowing that last swing isn’t worth it (just an example.) That’s just my two cents. Granted I’m no pvp expert, but with stamina already very difficult to manage for many, save for the most elite maybe
, I need to be able to tell if my opponent has 47hp left or 159hp left. The former, I’ll chance that last swing… the latter, I’m peeling if at all possible.
Knowing where your enemy stands on health is important IMO. What you’re suggesting would amount to the equivalent of spray and pray, roll the dice and hope?
But that is the issue. The fact mostvuse the healthbar devakues skill. If i see you at 10% health and I jave 90%, i know 2 things, you will retreat and try to pop a potion and if i engage i will win in a button smash off. Not knowing means i need to continue using skill. Healthbars are a crutch tha removes some of the cat and mouse.
