PVP servers should be wiped after people did things they shouldn't

This is what I agree with. Does a wipe suck? Yes, of course it does. I’ve got 3 body vaults with thralls, materials, and other stuff that I’ve grinded since I started playing. Of course I don’t want to lose them, but I’m willing to say goodbye to those things if it means the gaming experience as a whole improves by removing the advantage of naughty players who were being naughty

I as well would loose a lot of body vaults. Things is I’ve only really gone back and used a few of them. The purpose was to jump on a busy server to fight a large clan with my clan. It made things quick and easy up and running in a couple hours ready to fight. That being said that’s pretty much the only situation I would want to use a bv. Playing as a solo or with a couple friends I’d rather start fresh and enjoy the progression. I’m still very curious if body vaults have any impact on server performance?

Game needs a refresh in more ways than one.

My BV’s are there to help me get a leg up after taking a break for a while, like the current one I’m on. Real Life obligations preventing me from playing the game and all that. Once my schedule is freed up a bit, I’ll pop on to one of my characters and use my BVs to get a jump start on getting reestablished.

I’m ok with losing them if it means a relatively fair playing field.

the best argument I have heard is there have been magic happenings before there will be again, and maybe they are right in that way, every single time they have changed the building system its introduced one.

My biggest problem with the aftermath is dealing with the most obnoxious annoying group bragging how they have infinite resources from their magical time, and it seems they do, they unjustly raided many off our server, they continue to bully noobs and no matter how much we wipe them they build defend and build more shit hopefully funcom will ban them for overbuilding but this is a problem all over for people.

Absolutely understand why fair players body vault and please don’t take my mention of them as any sort of shade towards players that use them.

As an aside we found a Direct connection clan’s sky base last night and the second they knew we had found it global erupted in their native language discussing grabbing all the powder they could to body vault on alts before a ban could come.

Ban wipe evasion might need to be addressed at some point in the future with BVs as what is the point of deleting the clan and assets if they can pass off to proxies just to do it all again.

They do not. They take up a couple of kilobytes (if that) tops, in a database, but aren’t referenced until they are logged in. Ironically its one of the least impactful methods of storage when it comes to server performance. It has no more impact than how many attributes you have, where you spent them, experience totals, and journey steps. At least until they are activated, then they’re simply like any other player with stuff in their inventory running around.

Yes this is the one argument they have made that makes any sense.

That Funcom screws up patches all the time and the ability to magic items and resources has happened before and with this companies track record will most likely occur again.

I do feel that this is worst it has been for a while and I have more skin in the game as I have bought items and a battle pass just to try and inject some funds into the game for a hope in better service.

Better consistent administration would actually solve a LOT of problems, this is more an amputation but better pre care would avoid such a need.

Bodyvaults shouldn’t exist this is a big problem deserving of its own thread, I own tons of bodyvaults too.

easy solution should be right before a body disappears from world it dies.

The servers need a wipe. I’ve been playing long enough to know that all the body vaulted loot is still there.
