Pyamid Set Stairs

Has anyone else been having trouble using the stairs supplied by the pyramid set. Why doesn’t it have standard sized stairs that fill a foundation size going in one direction only. Also I’ve noticed I can’t place a wall piece next to those stairs to fill in gap left by them.

Is anyone else having the same problems as I am?

Yea irs just another incomplete building set put out by funcom. They will try to sell u the rest in a future bazaar.

The same reason there’s no wedges or sloped walls. They’ll try to sell more later is my guess. :unamused:

The pyramid set needs stair pieces like the Arena set has. Same as the lost dungeon.

Agreed in extremis

Regarding placement of walls and corner stairs, @Eradicati0n had a video showing how to wrap them around a central block set, but it was very complicated and for the life of this one, cannot recall which specific video it was.

Yes. . That set seems to be made to build two types of pyramids, their access and not much else. I’ve been placing a Set temple inside and that’s basically it.
It’s a very clean, nice set, but rather limited in usage.

The thing with the pyramid stairs, IMO, is that you need to look at them more as utility rather than as decoration. What I mean is you need to design your layout with the stairs being nothing more than a means of going up and down a level. Not as something pretty to see as you enter the building.

Kind of like the stairs that just go up into the attic or down into the basement. They tend to get put where they are simply because it’s a decent spot for an access point and they are more hidden than they would be otherwise.

Actually, now that I mentioned that, it makes sense if you think about how the doors are made to blend in with the walls.

Obviously there are ways to place them to make them look pretty. I just think they work better if you put more emphasis on function rather than aesthetic when you’re deciding where to put them in your pyramid.

The pyramid set has the color of “finda petra”. This particular color unites ancient with medieval and gives the passage of time and civilizations on buildings. In old town of Rhodes we have several buildings that has ancient Greek start, medieval continuing and Othman finishing. They are so beautiful that you can stop and stare them and feel this passage of time, to the point of journey through times.

True. The set has sloped ramps to use for easy elevation. But what about if you wish to fix something special, a medieval town on the sand beach? We need arena stair pieces both on pyramid and lost dungeon set, it would be awesome and encourage the creation.

The set is definitely lacking in some important parts. A gate, “normal” stairs and fences would have been nice.
And ceilings in the same shape of the pyramid foundations would also be an important thing, building walls with foundations takes a lot of space.

But i have to admit, lately i use the pyramid set more than everything else.
Stormglas used to be my preferred building set, but the sheer amount of building pieces makes it a bit overwhelming at times. And usually it takes much longer to finish buildings with it.

With the pyramid set it’s a bit easier to build because no matter what you do, at the end it’s… some sort of pyramid.
And using different building materials to compensate for the lacking elements can result in great designs!
Stormglas, turanian, aquilonian and argosian match up pretty well with the pyramid set.

However, it still feels incomplete.
And selling incomplete building sets is another letdown for me, and one of the reasons why i dont buy anything anymore. The bazaar and BP bullsh¡t was already bad enough compared to the DLC’s, but selling sets piece by piece is next level.

The sets should really be sold as complete sets. Most of this blame can be put on the contemporaries and the general consumer allowing it to continue by refusing to refrain from purchasing. In Everquest 2 (the first game to really offer paid building sets similar to this) has you pay individually for each building piece (you cannot craft as much as you want). Its only a few cents each. But that adds up.

The biggest issue I have, is while some state that the rest of the sets will come later, we don’t actually know that. One might be willing to pay in bits and pieces, but may simply not have an option to.

You have some serious creativity using that set, mate! Very well done.

Now let me eat my words

Can’t argue with that. 100% right there.
The last thing i‘ve bought was the aesir building set when chapter 3 dropped, nothing since then.
Even though the dungeon set and a bunch of other things looked pretty nice.
But the dungeon set was split into… i don’t even know how many bundles.
In the future i will think about it carefully.
If i even buy anything.

By Crom hopefully we won’t end up there!

@UNfun is a genuine pvp player if i am not mistaken . The good part however, is that he plays in our console :star_struck:.

Didn’t go back to it to be honest. Was playing a lot of monster hunter world again lately. And what a pleasure it is!

That’s the beauty of well rounded players. They enjoy the game in more ways than one.
I assume those creations are not built on pvp servers.

No they aren’t, the tower kindish Building in the oasis was a try to combine a wheel base with a war pyramid, and it should have a map room as well.
But it got clearly out of hand.

True, but many private pvp servers had builds that i can’t explain brother, i just can’t. Beautiful journey!
