Question of the Week: Ya'll got any of them quirks?

And i thought it wasonly me :rofl::rofl:. Everything must be perfect, if only we had internal buiding pieces, omg… I would be so happy.

No matter what server I play, I always carry weathered skulls to drop in careless unconscious players inventories.

Oh gosh. That reminds me of the days of hoarding Potted Plants in System Shock 2 and transferring 10-20 of them into another player’s inventory when they went AFK so they didn’t see all the transfer messages. Then we resume playing and later they open their inventory and… surprise!

So here’s another thing I do that I finally realized might be uncommon. I almost always limit myself to no more than one combat thrall of the same name. So there can be only one Airk, Conchaka, Enika, Janos, Ulrik, Varpnir etc. Sometimes I’ll make an exception for crafting thralls due to how hard it can be to find them, or needing specific recipes and having multiple stations/homes, but when it comes to Fighters, Archers, Dancers and Bearers, I pretty much always kill their wild “clones” unless I haven’t started leveling one with that name yet and decide to compare stats before deciding which to keep.

… yes, I know I could just give them all unique names. :stuck_out_tongue:

Have you considered naming one of them Connor MacLeod?

This quirk “came to me” pretty late: just after joining the forum where I found some strange dudes (that not implies I’m normal anyay!), but…
well in my base there is always a plaque or a sign with a skull and candles around.
There is something peculiar written on the sign or plaque: MAGIK!
Yes: that’s the Bryan’s skull remembering me what he wants!

Oh my gosh! Jimbo’s Elk King revenge reminded me of a quirk.

There’s this lone exile sitting by a campfire right below Narrowneck Span. I have named him Lonely Guy. I always kill him first time and every time I see him. I will go out of my way to go kill him.

But with bare hands and kicking only. I beat him to death. Because the first time I played and I had no weapons yet, he killed me.

And I infected my clan mate with it. He also kills him bare-handed, every time he sees him. :stuck_out_tongue:

Improved Armorer Benches always have the 3 grades of liners occupying the top 3 rows, while the 2nd page of its inventory is stocked with the materials I use the most in a standardized order.

Revenge quirks are best quirks. All it takes is one bad fight and suddenly that NPC’s made a mortal enemy for all eternity

I did exactly the same in another game a long time ago. Once I was strong enough, I went back to the NPC who had killed me for the first time, and beat him to death with my bare hands. And repeated it every time I passed by.

Hotbar order: pick, axe, weapon, then the other slots have w/e else in them up till 7 and 8 which have waterskin and food respectively. This order carry’s across in pretty much any survival game I play that has a Hotbar.

I get OCD about ordering loot by chests. Start off by dumping stuff randomly while getting setup and once I have some time I organize till everything has a place that makes sense.

I can get somewhat sentimental over random things. an example would be whenever I recruit someone on a server and they demolish their base to move in with me. I go and build a memorial where their base was, I don’t tell them about it either, Just something I like to do.

I also Like sneaking into bases in progress to log out in, wake up trapped once their base is finished and have them wonder how the hell I got in there :P. Just a random Hobo hitching a warm place for the night XD.

I like things to match and so will find a uniform for my fighters and a slight variant of that uniform for archers and bearers etc. I have even been guilty of giving my tribemates a variant of the armour I have been using while they are logged out. There is a tactical reason for this, on PvP servers creating a little confusion by having a similar armor set to your thralls can make a would be raider struggle to determine what is a player and what is a thrall when in the heat of the moment, that being if you are online at the time of the raid.

And finaly like many others I too enjoy the scenic moments in games like this watching the pallet change as the day progresses from dawn to dusk makes me appreciate the art in this game, I actually enjoy the night time, despite how pitch black it gets and how many people hate night time, the whole process to me really has a beautiful atmosphere to it. Not to mention night time is often a good time to conduct shadey business or do some farming on PvP.

I roam around on pve-c servers killing everyone on sight.
