Hello! My org mates and I have encountered this problem, and I have found a solution for it. The problem: can’t log in a froob account using the client, the website says it is frozen, tho nő payment history is shown. Go to the old website register.funcom.com, log in and reactivate the free account for free. You have to do this every month, because the froob account will have an expiration date. Hope it helps!
Sadly there is no reactivation anymore. That website gets redirected to account.anarchy-online(dot)com now and you can’t get it to the old website.
So I’m still locked out on my Froob account.
EDIT: Can’t add links so just removed the period and used (dot) for it.

I’m having the same problem. this post is a year old and nothings been done. I have several 200 characters essentially useless now. thanks for nothing funcom. So I guess I’m beat?
funny cuz i had every intention of resurecting my dormant paid account, but not now. I have played the game since 2002!!! Stingray67 is my old soldier, first toon. I sent a “trouble ticket”, but got the canned form letter that i got 6 years ago when my last ticket got submitted. that one never got answered. So, I’m not optimistic. Thanks for ruining a good game, this time I’m done for good. bye

20 days old, 5 reply posts, and not one of them from funcom… they dont even care about us, the player, anymore. remember the good ole days when there used to in game managers ARKs? I do. remember when they provided tech support, on a timely basis? I do. guess the good old days are gone for good. I have better things to do with my time than play a game that means so little to the company. maybe when they go under, theyll have the time to care
The silence from support worries me too. I posted this last June when it started happening to me Froob Account saying not paid

now that it’s getting worst.
"I have multiple froob bank and buff toons that started freezing up.

I know the game is on autopilot at this point

I had this problem a couple of weeks ago when I came back to AO. I don’t know if this helps anyone here, but if you were subbed to TSW (not legends), the account page for that is still the old layout, and it had a reactivate button. But for how long that will remain? Depends… But it took me a while to find that solution, and I had even sent in a support ticket. Fast-forward to now… I just checked my email, and I never got a response to that ticket. Yeah… Of course, I don’t need their help anymore, but still! If FC don’t want to do customer support, they should at the very least put a robot in charge of it that automates what needs to be done. Sure, most people don’t like those either, but it’s better than ignoring us. Or at least, you know, put a reactivate button on the new account page? I mean, it’s bare minimal effort… Hire me, I’ll drive/fly over and do it for you.

this is the most pathetic customer experience since I swore off EA sports for the same reason, 18 years ago. I haven’t played or bought one since. It’s not even like Simple Mobile, at least they pretend to care, even if they dont as a company. they either restore it or they dont. I’m past it, though I’ll keep this bookmarked on the off chance thay do get around to it. I’m done with you FUNCOM ------- FCK YOU

not letting this post die, until Funcom answers it !!! Oddly, the account I’m currently logged into all of a sudden works, but not the other 3 that are still frozen
u really think someone at FC knows why thats happening?
Some of my frozen accounts I needed to change the password. I would suggest only try one account at a time. After I receive in an email with a new\temporary password, I used it to log in and I change the password back to my old password. I did this thinking my old accounts were somehow missing something and resetting the password might fixed it.
You can use try the TSW site:
https://register.thesecretworld.com/account > Click Home > Click Reactivate Button > Click a different Reactivate Button
Note: after doing 3 accounts, funcom might IP block me. That’s when I switch to using my smart phone or take my laptop to a coffee shop/library to get a new IP address. The block does clear up eventually.

I clicked the link, and saw a login page
- you log in
- on the left 'My Account", at the very top of it, is “HOME” (click home), home is where you can reactivate the account from, also change PW
my print screen is not working, apologize not able to provide screen shot
I should also note it worked on 3 of 5 accounts, the 2 that failed, the link funcom emailed for temp pw, was just a blank page

no, I think they systematically ignore these forums. As for knowing why? they surely do. They made the changes, so they must have something stupid in mind. part of the oooops I guess you’ll have to start paying us campaign.
