You don’t know who’s behind screen, yes, and maybe those person uses “N-word” just because it’s part of his ethnic lexicon(as well as other “banned words” can be a part of specific group of people). Usually when I get insult in life… it’s because I know answers to questions, I stand up for people, or I just happen to be the wrong religion.
In gaming… usually because I chose and successfully evaded a gank or I beat a ganker and they were upset. I’ve been ganked, I’ve been raids, I’ve had people exploit through walls… I’ve never resulted in calling a person random racial, sexist, or homophobic slurs… I’ve never needed to. See I can be more inventive than that. I can choose to even after being nearly killed by a driver who made a right turn without looking hitting me and dragging me under a moving vehicle tearing apart multiple tendons in my ankle while holding on for dear life, I could still keep enough calm to not fling insults. In life or in games. If you are going to insult do it well don’t fling racial, ethnic, sexist or homophobic slurs randomly… not only is it insulting… it is lazy. Doesn’t matter what the other person did.
Oh I’m sure… of course I highly doubt you are it… because a Black person that runs around with a white cartoon as their avatar (on a forum where no avatar is needed) that defends calling people the N word and says people shouldn’t be offended by it… is pretty much unicorn level… and would be a troll of such stupidity that they’d have to be on the fast track to a life that once over will be totally forgotten in history. There is nothing wrong with insulting a person in game for doing something dumb. There is a significant difference between using slurs and a well crafted insult or letting a person know when they have annoyed you. It has through out history been considered an art form when done well. For 1000 years Flyting was considered a fairly fun activity but was done without direct malice.
Using racial, ethnic, sexist, and homophobic slurs to fling insults is lazy, sad and has no place in use unless you are being Racists, Prejudice, Sexist, or Homophobic in your intent.
You yourself have shown that words can frustrate, as while i have said you shouldn’t take any offence to what I’ve said you have continued to try to suggest things which makes you look kinda like a privileged white kid that is the laughing stock of the rest of society.

Still all those things are actions.
If they insult you - just mute, when those people will start to think that this is normal and use those words on public and will be wrong - they’ll get punch into they’re face and stop doing such, that’s how people learn on their mistakes.
