I see frequent requests for Conan Exiles to be upgraded to Unreal 5.0
In the 3.0 Livestream, Dennis Douthett, Lead Designer, does a very good job of explaining why that will not happen.

Maybe we will see it in conan exiles 2 or age of conan 2.
I can tell you as a game developer that upgrading to 5.0 from an older 4 engine is more trouble than its worth.
All of my new projects are in 5.0 but the 4.x games we leave there.
And the more you went into UE source and made changes to the source, the more and more unlikely clean porting to UE5 from 4 would be.
