Religion Weapons and religion armors added in Conan Exiles

We need a huge add a huge update to religion. The religion tab is bare. Only a few items in each religion. I suggest a religion weapon made of Iron,Steel,Harden Steel and star metal for every type of weapon for each religion. That includes crom. These would cost feat points for each religion weapon to learn as well as has same starting requirements. Sample Crom Iron Sword requires warrior and level 10. Basically all religion weapons are reskin weapons of weapons you can get asap. Same cost and same damage and other stats. Meaning Crom Iron sword is a reskin of Iron Broad Sword. This is for Iron,Steel and harden Steel. Star Metal weapons are special. And have thier own stats. So they aren’t just a reskin version. Weapons come in basic and epic versions.

Armors would come in three types. The three types are heavy, medium and light. Every religion has all three types. Every religion armors would have balance temperature stats. Religion armors would
Armor values are base on the default light, medium and heavy. This way the cost the same as the defaults. Religion Armors come in epic versions.

Religion clothing has the worst armors values, but best temperature stats.

Each religion requires you to unlock thier special Armorer’s Bench and Blacksmith’s Bench as well as thier improve versions. It’s in the religion tab. Same requirements as the regular benchs. All But Crom. Crom stuff in the default benchs. Also epic in the improve benchs.

Crom stuff don’t appear in the religion tab. It appears next to the other weapons and armors.

You have to have the Religion unlock to invest in it. All but Crom.

These items when made produce ZERO manifestation of zeal.

I want these items added in as base game items and not as DLC.

This way the religions aren’t limited by your wallet.

I’m no opposed to seeing Crom get some actually worship in the game. But if he does, then instead of it just resulting in nothing, I think some inspiration should be taken from the books and quotes about Crom;

Maybe worshiping Crom could raise Purge levels or course boss creatures to spawn nearby or something.

Yeah, it would be nice to see the religion expanded to the point where it actually provides endgame content that is unique to each religion – you know, give us some incentive to worship, apart from avatars on PVP (which are disabled anyway) and completionism on PVE.

One thing I’m really opposed to is involving Crom. A lot of people on the forums don’t seem to get Crom. Howard’s stories show physical evidence of a few of the other gods, portrayed as a kind of aliens or demons – Set is pretty much one of the Great Old Ones from Lovecraft’s work – but Crom never makes a personal appearance. Not only that, he is completely ignored outside Cimmeria.

Howard made him like that on purpose. All the other gods are just powerful beings, but Crom is the real deal.

Crom doesn’t have a religion tab. So Crom items are crafted in none religion benches.

I hate/love the avatars. I love thier looks, but hate losing a T3 shrine. My idea allows for religion to be none avatars. For those wanting low tier religion Iron weapons, but not being over power. Clothing when not batting is option to look like you belong in the Conan Universe.

Yeah, I’m agreeing with you, on everything except Crom worship

I agree that a complete revamp is required. My idea is very similar to this. I would streamline it just a bit.

  1. Get rid of avatars. I do not think a good balance will ever be found for this.
  2. Every religious item should be craftable in the altars (like now). No need for extra benches. Priest thralls should grant tiered crafting bonuses like other crafting thralls (faster crafting, reduced cost, exceptional/flawless items).
  3. Each religion tier should follow a similar crafting framework.
    T1 - harvesting tool, consumable
T2 - complete 5 piece light hallowed armor (with exceptional and flawless variants), low damage weapon that stacks a status effect (like snake arrow for Set)
T3 - high quality cheap weapon like current religion setup
T4 - endgame weapon, epic 5 piece light hallowed armor set (with exceptional and flawless variants)

That should be the basic. Then consider adding to it with unique placeables like Mitra’s fountain. Maybe Derketo let’s you craft a statue that gives an entertainment aura. Maybe Ymir gives a placeable that gives off a lot of cold. Things like that.

Don’t really agree with giving Crom religion anything, though. The deal with Crom from REH can be summed up as: if you need Crom’s help, then you don’t deserve it, and if you deserve Crom’s help, then you don’t need it.

The entire reason for CROM is for those that do not want to play with false gods.

So give everyone something to use, not just the godless hords

It’s not worship of Crom. It’s you honor Crom with your weapons of Crom. As you go into battle. That why crom doesn’t have a special religion tab.

I prefer my idea.

1.) Avatars are still in game with my idea.

2.) New crafting Benches don’t use the shrine. This allows players of religion to have equal fairness as everyone else. Meaning Benches doesn’t require zeals to craft weapons and armors.

3.) Armors sets that come in light.Medium and heavy. This way religion armors can have same armors values as the default armors, but balance heat and cold resistances.

4.) Religion weapons need to scale with the player’s level. That why weapons are Iron level 10-29 ,Steel 29-50,Harden steel 50-59 and steel metal at 60.

5.) Crafting thralls is the reason for religion benches. All T3-T4 thralls at crafting benches would be able to make flawless and epic flawless sets. The player would learn basic and epic sets.

Yes. But if avatars are removed, then the altars can be much smaller. The reason they are so big in the first place is that FC wants them to be hard to hide. The original design concept for avatar defense in early access was find and destroy the altar before the summoner could build the summon token. That is also why T3 altars appear on the map. If avatars are removed, the altars can be made the size of other crafting benches.

Needing zeal is also what makes religious crafting more unique. Otherwise, what you are proposing is not so much a religion change but a religiously themed culture DLC that you want implemented as free content. I wouldn’t argue with that, I just do not think it will happen.

Do you know the first Iron or steel weapons of each weapon type is not the best version of that weapon type. I’ll give you an example of this. Iron Broadsword base damage is 16. The Cutlass base damage is 23. Religion Iron,Steel and harden steel weapons aren’t the best weapons. They are the cheapest and fastests weapons to be able to learn. Why do you think the armors are cheapest versions as well? You remember the armorer recipe you unlock? Those basic Armors are weak. Compared to the other armors you can unlock at higher levels. Now picture religion armors’s armor value as the basic light armor, medium armor and heavy armor.

The star metal weapons are only in the shrine.

You see a Reskin benches. I see Benches that can only make religion weapons and religion armors.

Can’t be DLC the armors and weapons are too underpower.
