I know CE is at the stage when we are unlikely to get any new buildings, but still
Can we get a little change in regards of how religious building are handled? Right now every level of a temple takes roughly the same size and considering how big they are and that you can’t build them in a close vicinity to one each other, making it very difficult to construct a small to medium size base and fit 2 or more altars in it.
What I am suggesting - can we get additional, smaller sized religious buildings like 1x1 block sized “altars” an 2x2 block sized “shrines” with lesser placing restrictions?
Right now if I already have a Derceto temple and I wish to make me some antidotes of Seth, I have to construct “garbage” temple of Seth somewhere on the outskirts of my base as where is no place in it for me to fit a whole new temple.
If we could have a smaller “altars” only capable of producing religious items of their tier then we wouldn’t have to litter the map with large structures.
We could keep the existing temple tiers for the sake of producing God tokens and God bubbles and use simplified, smaller sized religious building for more practical purposes.
If you play pvp you don’t want any T3 temple too close of your base, because it’s like saying to all other players : “Look at the Map I’m here. Look at that bright colored light reaching the sky if you want to find me and raid me.”
And if you play pve it doesn’t really matter if your temple aren’t inside your base. It isn’t like you need to craft something in it very often, contrary to the usual workstations.
I totally agree, and I hope that this gets more traction. Im a builder. I don’t really play Conan for the PvP. As you said, a small altar, 1x1 or 2x2, would be amazing. Especially if it could snap into the floor or something similar. It would make building a fully fleshed survival base that looks decent and defensible so much easier.
We already have one - Blacksmiths bench. When you stand before Crom in the afterlife, and hi asks you about the Riddle of Steel, just point him to your 20 vaults full of Star metal swords
Nooo ive tried putting a Blacksmiths Bench on foundations next to my other Shrines before, but it just looked weird. Croms_Faithful years for a new Shrine. You know tin_egg…the Riddle of Steel was never a part of the original Robert Howard works. It inly appeared in the John Milius motion picture. But I love the movie and I love Arnold, so I dont mind. And considering the battle prowess, smithing skills and ways of the Cimmerians as a whole, the Riddle of Steel still has some unspoken underlying truths to it. So I say rock on.
