your wrong Custom sort Saved the location of everything. so you could leave healing pots top left beside your axe etc. Use any other sort and then go back to custom sort your healing pots in top left again beside your axe. Custom = you can move anything anywhere and it will be saved to that specific box in your inventory.

Precisely, and also on top of that removing the item left that spot EMPTY! It did not change where everything in your inventory was, shifting things over to “fill in the gap”. That is the biggest PITA part of this new “sorting” system and it drives me absolutely crazy. I want my things where I WANT THEM not where some dumbass who doesn’t play the game tells me I have to have them.
I have methods to my sorting, I have always had them and they have always worked. Why after all of these years would you suddenly fvck it all up?

Precisely. By way of example - my sandstorm mask and water-breathing mask are always in the top right slot of my inventory and the slot directly below it. Even if I have nothing else in my inventory, I still want them to be in those two slots, not top left. (Sure, the ‘empty inventory’ example is still pretty easy to find things, but it demonstrates the issue perfectly - and with a more full inventory, the issue is just multiplied.)
