Request: A guide or help using new Roll / Dodge system

I’m personally really stuggling with the new roll system, and it’s definatly my fault, I’m a huge fan of speed roll and dodging in games, and this new roll has waaaay caught me out.

So far I’ve found:

  • Dodge exactly when a baddie hits, you’re invincible.

I love this! Perfect! Frame perfect rolls are the pinnicle of speed roll.

Also found:

  • If the baddie had more than one hit, chaining is too hard unless you spec heavily into agility.
  • If there is more than one baddie, you’re going to get hit.
  • If there’s AoE damagae (i think) then invincibility doesn’t work? The time to move away is too long as you’ll need to chain the rolls.
  • Light armour bretheren will have to spec into vitality now? Is Vitality & Agility mutually exclusive? You need those point in Grit!
  • The momentum based movement does not help any of this. Though I do personally like this. soz lol ReALiSTiC MovEmEnt!!!11

I guess the question is:

How are you using thew new dodge system?

My idea’s for the different baddies so far are:

  • Large or fast: Medium+agil or light+vital armour and focus heavily on the invincibility frames and chaining. Be veeery careful.
  • Multiple: Medium+agil, bring an archer thrall who will help. When you get overwhelmed; lure them to the archer who should start melee while you recover.
  • AoE: Med+agil or light+vit; Chain your ■■■ out of there! You’ll need a lot of grit. I’m struggling with this one. Stamina management is difficult with fast bosses.

Litterally all help will be welcome, I’m willing to change my build but a lot of people like me will always prefer light or medium armour; lots of grit and fast paced movements.

Help!!

bumping my own thread like an a.ss but WOAH

Just fought Thag from Winecellar and it was WAY more intense! Loved every damn second of it holy helllll

Fighting multiple skelegogs at once was terrible though, aloe’d my way out of both the times they spawned as a group. But FIGHTING THAG WOAH, waaaay more intense but definatly not more difficult.

Medium armour is the way to go I reckon, hight Grit and Agility and a weapon with wide attack vector, 1-handed axe seemed to help somewhat and leaves a spot open for shield if needed
