So t1 tactics should be orbs there delay and easy produce. You use this t1 doors and chest
T2 tactics is arrows to counter t2 ,t3 anti climb you can say to thralls and pets which is true but I hope they can eventually balance that part out.
T3. Bombs should be used to clear single layers and prevent player repair and rebuild. trebs and gods
If you compare the damage they do Iām pretty sure you get more destruction from farming a god than spending the same amount of time farming bombs.
And itās so easy to repair/rebuild bomb damage. With a god youād just be dead with half of your base gone.
Not saying gods should be worse, I just donāt get why people have such a huge problem with bombs.
Also bombs are already used mostly for chests and doors. Trebs are better for vaults.
Your missing couple key points thinking god should feared more.

It doesnāt matter if wall missing or half your base is gone. Most work is not building it self itās thralls and mats that need to be replaced.
Farming is a poor way to balance since key factors comes into play.
How big is clan
How much free time
Hacks
So best way balance item is not based on mats but based on restrictions.
You can try balance 1 bomb to structure based on time but then they would add 9 more bombs to counter.
To add one bomb at a time then you can measure damage or hp on structure loss.
Then you can balance repair and structure replacement.

Problem in balancing is bomb 8k say nerf to 4k so counter use two bombs instead of one or 10.
The problem about raiding should be balanced of time. Then struggle of other parts balanced being contested.
Think king of hill bomb should be viewed as contested of king of hill it should take them time to put it out so they push other people off to get to bomb.
This bomb while should stop all repairs and even after wall collapse bomb is still on fire preventing them throw another wall up.
Then a defenders should always be little bit easier. But not impossible to raid.

But ātoo highā bomb damage is only related to offlining. As raiding is now, you could argue that they do too little damage in online raiding.
I could be behind something like that. But then they should just do that first and see how bomb damage is with that change before they buff or nerf it. Too many changed parts at once just makes it difficult to see what effect the individual parts have.

Dynamic building damage in 30 min cooldown if you log off mid raid, active 24/7. It has never been released into the wild, and privates dont really need it because if admin involvement. We never got to see how effective and exploitable it was, just theories by posters.

Move Jars and DP arrows to Altars. T1 4 x amount of dp, t2 double amount, T3 current. This makes it so if you want cheapest jar/arrow creation you show up 9n map. Also makes it where you would have to mule the jars because they dont stack. Creatung an ammo pipeline allows for counter measures.

Clan size reduced to 5. This makes 10 v 1 or 2 harder. Right now with followers it is 20 v 4 and what little ai the static thralls have in your base. 2 clans of 5 would have to avoid having ghier thralls aggro each other.
And all are easy to do.

Gods/arrows are countered by the god bubble, but bombs have no counter which is why everyone looks to them when it comes to raiding. Gods are secondary at this point because bombs do their job better, more reliably, and, again, have no counter.
Agree, but I think timer should be longer if you log off mid raid. It would be too easy to build a base that can last more than 30 minutes and just abuse the timer.
Soloās and small clans should be able to stay hidden, so no from me.
We just need different server modes. small clans should be one.
Gods are half a novelty because;
- bubble.
- Map marker (if you arenāt smart about it).
- Altar map marker. People often come to check out whatās going on there.
- sometimes bugs so you only get one attack.
- very easy to destroy.
- you often loose a lot of the loot because you destroy so much and the bags disappear before you can get to them (or you canāt carry it all).
- probably more.
Itās often just something you use for fun, if you got it free (from another clans altar) or as a last ditch.
Bombs have an easy counter;
- Repairs and build spam.
I still like my idea of making bombs and dragon powder unstable. If you run, you have a 20% chance of igniting it and whatever is on you blows up. This would definitely deter itās use and provide stories and videos of entertaining gameplay.
The cost would be to use a T1/t2. That is balanced by the cost of cheapest and faster crafting of showing up on map. Staying hidden is really counter to an active pvp server tbh. Ther has to be compromises to get more people in game style. I myself like to stay hidden, but mainly because of offlining. Remove 90% of offlining makes staying hidden a choice, not a necessity as it is nowā¦
we already canāt stack fences anymore, to make our base take 5 minutes to raid lol. Canāt fit big benches in the base. Have to farm it all by ourselves. Thereās already plenty of disadvantages to play solo. We donāt need more.

And who says you have to craft bombs. You could always trade to get bombs from another clan. Again an official multiplayer server will always be harder on those who both dont want to be engaged in the raid and not be a part of the social aspects of it. Maybe online raiding isnāt really what you want. I am just giving compromised ideas. Why should a clan of 5 be more exposed than a solo?

I didnāt say they should. I donāt like the idea of moving bomb crafting to altar at all.

Ideal is you really canāt balance damage since I can lay 100 bombs at once.
So goal is have all damage in burn not explosive. Make it niche where it prevents repair unlike other weapons.
Make where u have to be on same side to put it out.
So bomb would have heat meter halfway it loses ability fill up. Defender has to be next to it to put it out. Forces defenders to fight.
Having the jars moved creates a better overall pvp loop.
If i craft jars at base i have to mule them closer. Stored in a vault. Or craft an altar near your base. R8ght there 8 created 2 pvp points. I can attack either your vault or altar. If i want cheap jars i have to show it 9n map. All strategic. Again tied to a 24/7 DbD mechanic.
Right now what is ee for from your side is you like it as is. Offline no pop servers. I would rather the pop be even double, and that would be a true pvp raid server.
I would agree with this if there was additional risk as the gain is too high for the cost of bombs.
As long as this could be countered with water orbs and possibly other means (asset that allows thralls in the area to contribute to water being added to the fire (think bucket brigade though not sure if the AI could support the animation to make it visibly shown).
Falling rock preventing repair would only make sense if there was risk involved for the raider also, ie. debris falling on your head as you raid under the wall.

No you canāt. You can place one at a time. Defenders can place choke points where 100 canāt fit or blow them up every time a couple have been placed.
People already do. No sane person attack with 500 dp on him. you take 20-50 at a time and store the rest. (unless you feel super safe anyway).
Essentially having to precraft bombs would only speed it up a bit, because you donāt have to spend time on crafting on the fly. Itās not like itās a problem hauling around 50 bombs with enc spec.

I would like raiding to be switched up a bit. I just donāt agree with a lot of the reasons and suggestions that I see from people.
