on a rp server at the moment just looking into setting a base trade value of items for the server, using gold and silver coins as currency. 1 gold = 10 silver. anyone have an idea on what is a decent but fair price for star metal ore and for star metal bars
To get even a faint idea of what starmetal should cost in YOUR environment, we should get your pricelist of other items, as a reference.
Pulling numbers from thin air will probably not help you
Other than that, I’d say: Try to get as much as you can before people decide it is cheaper for them to get the starmetal themselves. Consider the cost of the explosives needed to crack open the meteors, the cost of getting a bearer thrall to carry it (If you are considering bringing in a large amount each time), the cost of the armor you’ll need to survive the climate and the critters in the area where the meteors fall.
A fair price will always depend on supply and demand. If everyone and their aunt is mining star metal on your server, its cost will be low. If only one guy makes the occasional trip to Skyfall Ridge and everyone else is dancing with the Darfari, its cost will be high.
The only way to make a price list that’s just right for people on your server, you will need to ask them how valuable they consider each item.
only sold a named thrall for $100 gold haven’t sold anything else yet but that is going to be my price for named thralls that spawn on the map. star metal i think i am the only one with star metal at the moment as star metal spawn is in my territory. pets will be $50 gold coins greater pets will most like be $100 gold. purge thralls will most likely be $300-$500 gold not to sure yet not much purges have happened yet.
was just looking for some ideas on what other servers have done to give me an idea of a fair price
How can you trade in this game? So far I just drop stuff so others can pick it up
@Wonka that’s usually how it’s done is a trust drop.
@Stryd3rJ As the rest have said, how many people make a trip up there? how often do they go mine it? how time consuming is it for you/ costly? In-game trading prices really depend on the provider. If it takes a lot of your resources and personal time you can easily charge high, and if they don’t like it they can go get it themselves xD
