Roll back the patch!

I just lost another pet due to a bug this time because apparently a normal crocodile can beat a lvl 20 sabretooth… with its partner sabretooth right next to it not helping doing nothing not being damaged.
This patch is annoying me with how scared we need to be for our thralls and pets and your inactiveness.
Yes not fun to roll back the patch i bet, but that was a sabretooth i had for a LONG time and i would normally post that in the bug section, but to be honest i am loosing trust that you even do anything with what is posted in there.
Your silence is killing!

Even I am sad after reading this.

I don’t understand - you mean it died 3 times in succession?
Because you can rescue/resurrect thralls and pets now :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

If you are offline keep pets indoors, thralls have always been susceptible to being killed by wildlife.

But honestly… Age of Heroes has been out for over a month. You want Funcom to rollback 5 weeks of progress for ~10 million players because your pet died?
Get a grip. Posts like this are why Funcom doesn’t take these forums seriously.

Roll it back to 2.8 !

I meant that many own the game, but you’re right there are nowhere near that many players.

Current active players is a small fraction of that but there are still a lot more than 1000. There are over 1000 official servers, plus god knows how many private servers.
Our official has ~30 active players every night and over a hundred active players total.

Only Funcom knows the active stats but I’m willing to bet there’s at least an active playerbase in the 6 digits.

So yeah, back to my point: let’s roll back 5 weeks of progress for every single player because someone lost a sabertooth?

There will be no rollback. The last time there was it was within days, and it wa because every single player in the game lost every single one of their thralls directly due to an error by Funcom.
They’re not going to roll it back 5+ weeks later because someone lost a sabertooth, or a couple of bartenders.

Currently 4,028 players.

I weep for the death of AoS

Which console?

8K players is a median average. But steam, doesn’t count all players.

No. Age of Sorcery.

There’s about to be a whole lot less. Blue Ranger is wiping official servers.

No, it died when I was not there. That one was guarding a fishing/temple/portal base and since last patch it seems as if my followers stop responding when I port away while the NPC continue for a time. That is the only way in my mind that a normal croc could kill a lvl 20 sabretooth while its right next to another lvl 20 that is not killing the croc either but also not being damaged by that croc.
And no not the progress, the patch. Go back to the previous stable one.

We just have to hope that there will be any update at all at some point.

You can’t roll back the patch without rolling back the progress. Every major patch introduces changes that are reflected in your game database. Rolling back the patch without rolling back the database will leave you with a corrupt game.

So no matter how justified the calls for rollback, it is highly unlikely to happen.

If that’s not possible they should just suspend the official servers and restart them when stuff is fixed. This daily loosing followers and people being scared to actually play for fears they might even loose more is criminal

You’re talking about a rock and a hard place here. While I won’t disagree that the state of the game is a bit inexcusable, let’s give a range from fairly quick to terribly slow:
Between 2 weeks and 2 months.
Servers going down anywhere within this range would likely kill the game’s public play scene almost entirely. Even if they got the fix done correctly, I doubt Funcom has enough good faith left for people to come back after that amount of time due to the gap in play and surely many people would be doubting that the fix was a legitimate fix.

This isn’t even meant as a slam on Funcom, but between their declining reputation with the handling of this game and the fact that they gave themselves 6 months instead of 3 for this update, they have painted themselves into a corner where faith in them is very low even if they were to buckle down and perform such a fix while servers were put on hiatus.
