Seems as if servers don’t use the same dates as the rest of the world. Started late, and ended late…

Hello,

Due to different time zones, sometimes the events can start or end earlier/later than expected.

As of today, is the event still active for you?

Thank you in advance!

I want to remind you about:

I know it is not your fault at all, and you are just trying to keep up any resemblance of “communication”, but “ending soon on 6th January” and actually ending on the 13th isn’t a time zone issue.

I’m greatful for the prolonged event, yet I have to scratch my head to why even make an anouncement on X, which turned out to be complete nonsense anyway.

This applies to pretty much every server including privates… there isn’t a way to turn it off for privates and it’s getting rather annoying having werehyenas pop up all the time on maps where you can’t even do the event and can’t opt out of it because the event npc doesn’t exist there…
This isn’t a time zone thing anymore were a week past when it was supposed to end…

I’ll check tonight but I do know it was active Sat the 11th.

LOOOL!!!

the event was supposed to end on january 6, and on the 13 you are blaming the time zones? really? are you guys from another planet? last time i checked there are any time zones with 7 days difference at least on planet earth

and yes i do know it is not your fault, but this goes to funcom as a company. notthing personal against you @Sarealac , funcom needs to up their game…

turns out the “timezones” has not catched up yet.

event are still active !

can whoever is responsible for dealing with this type of things competent enough to just follow and fullfill whatever is decided in terms of the event starting and ending dates, decay timers . etc?

is it too much to ask?

this event should have been over in the 6th… and it is still going,. WHY? timezones?

LOL I think exactly like you. I am not a planetologist or an astronomer, but I think that to have a difference of 7 days between one point on the globe and another, you would have to at least be on Jupiter.
@Sarealac I confirm that as of today (verified this morning) the “hunting sacret” event is still active on my server (PS5 private server).

If the event ended on the 8th (when the report was made), it may have been time zones depending on which is used. There can be a 26 hour difference between the two furthest time zones in the world. Hence the response from Sarealac asking for clarification on the event’s status.

The announcement just said “the 6th” and didn’t even indicate a time the event would end, much less a time zone. Hence the “is it still active” question. I don’t think anyone would be “blaming” time zones once confirmation is received that the event is indeed still active. You don’t need to be a rude about it; a simple “no, I don’t think time zones are the issue as the event is still ongoing even today” would be more than sufficient.

can you please see below? read it. read it well.

so what or who do we blame?

i am not being rude, i am stating a fact, that timezones are NOT the culprit of the problem, how is that not clear enough for you?

Remember, folks, noting that an event has not ended a week after it announced schedule end is rude.

How dare we expect Funcom, as a company, to provide accurate information about their games and events.

What do we think we are? Paying customers?

Pssssft!

@Sarealac

Please let me know if I need to confirm this as well since @Hansel already confirmed it’s active on PC.

remember that the event didn’t even start on the 23rd as advertised too…

and also the “Updates” page, that doesn’t get updates since April 2023:

but hey, not that I grinded out the event in that narrow time span, because I actually thought that was it for a long time again…

But, but, but, WHAT TIME ZONE!?!

Seriously, though, thanks for the update.

No, what I mean is the tone is incredibly rude. Asking if an event should still be running is fine. Confirming that an event is still running after it’s supposed end time is fine. The passive aggressive-aggressive behavior exhibited by some people is NOT fine.

If the response had been faster (within 24 hours of the post) it would be much less eyebrow raising because it really could have been a timing thing. If Sarealac didn’t check in game (and I doubt reps do given how often they ask for video evidence), it seems reasonable to confirm with the user if they are still experiencing the issue to narrow down possible issues.

Can’t tell you how many times I have had to have similar discussions at work where a bug =/= bug but someone just caught something in the middle of timing and thought it was a bug. Had/closed a ticket last week because my stakeholders were seeing “stuck” data on accounts. However, they were checking while the procedure was running and were faster than it was.

It never hurts to check to make sure that a reported bug is still occurring, particularly in instances where time can be a factor.
