I’ve run around a majority of the island and come across a few baby animals (wolf, sabertooth, feral dog, crocodile) but I haven’t seen a majority of others you can find on the exiles map. Does anyone know where ostrich chicks can be found? Or baby deer? I’m wanting to set up pens and having no luck whatsoever.

Ostriches and camels drop from Surge (triggered by players) mobs.
Thanks for the quick reply! I had hear rumor of that, but was hoping they were in a hidden location lol Oh well. Guess I’ll have to go attack surges! Thanks again! 
Camels are sold in the Outcast camp as well. You can buy Shoebill eggs there too (but I’ve got one for free from the Wild Surge loot). Shoebill pens (Emberlight) are even better than Ostrich pens - they produce meat and consume meat, so you have to add Ranch Water and harvest skins, eggs and feathers, and that’s all.
