Selecting 'Continue' From Funcom Launcher Leads to Black Screen

Bug Description:

After opening the Funcom Launcher, selecting the ‘Continue’ button launches the game as expected. The Unreal splash screen and the main CE menu appear as usual, then the loading screen artwork shows up momentarily and is quickly replaced by a black screen. After this, the game fails to load further. The screen remains black and the menu music plays continually. According to Task Manager, the game is running normally, but there is no possible interaction.

• The ‘Continue’ option worked prior to 2.6.

• I have verified my installation and updated my drivers, but this issue persists.

• Selecting ‘Launch’ then choosing the continue option from the main menu launches the game successfully.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Play the game and exit normally to ensure there is a saved game.
2. Open the Funcom launcher
3. select Conan Exiles and click on ‘Continue’
4. Observe the game failing to load.

I have the same issue ever since the latest update

Note: Added the suggested line to the Engine.ini for my game(single player), but it does nothing to change the launcher’s ‘continue’ button leading to a black screen. Is that to address a different issue, perhaps?
