Hello, I like to ask once more for a variant of the server app for xbox!
This could come in two flavours:
a) as PC app delivered from MS Store (the current one only supports PC)
b) and/or as XBox app, so the requirements to stay in the xbox network could be fullfilled
It would be enough (at least for me) if this variant would only support LAN, as I am living in a house & playing with different family members (thats our clan) - but of course accesibility with internet would even be better.
To be honest, I already tried out to set up a PC as server, but this did not work (I did not really expect to work , but it was a try), as there is no option in CE for a direct connection (IP/port) what could help here…
Coop mode is no alternative, as you need always the same player to host the game, as the progress is stored only in the hosts main game. It is strictly demanded, that each family (clan) - member can make progress in the same environment without a host.
So the next variant would be to rent a G-Portal Server. But that costs each month. Ok, even if I would do, as soon as you dont pay, your server is deleted. This means, it is not possible to take a break for a few weaks or months without loosing all your progress. - The same problem as with the officials, but at least they do not cost a monthly fee.
Thats the reason why we are on officials now, but I really would like to have the possibility - like in a local game - to make a break when and how often we want. That could be done that way, because our world would not be deleted.
I think, the app is there and if funcom wishes, they could do it that way. If one xbox can handle a coop game, why should a dedicated xbox that has nothing to do the host that environment - don’t deliver the required performance.
Or give us a PC version please that works at least on LAN. I am sure, there is a solution that don’t break Microsoft’s rules for xbox net.
This would be a solution for all clans that have similar demands.

PS: A Xbox Series X delivers 12 TFlops and has a 8-core 3.6GHz CPU. Please don’t try to tell me it is not strong enough for a pure server app … You can look yourself how this is comparable to current pcs. As pure server device it does not need to render anything! It should easy cover 5-10 players, like a dedicated host-PC.
