Last I looked it wasn’t up to you to decide what “playing” is.

@DeaconElie the same guy that has reported 15+ players, is the same guy supporting server wipes.

Completely 1000% false. We get new players daily on my official server and 1 out of every 5 joins the Discord soon after.

Setting up new servers is out of the question I guess, so to keep the game alive they should recycle the least busy ones, every month just one.
And advertise launch of every new fresh server via social media.

Do you even play on Officials? You seem to think you know what Officials need, but truth is you don’t even play on them. How exactly does someone who doesn’t play on Officials know what Officials need?

If you did play Conan you would know that their is currently a bug that makes building impossible due to falling inside of your floor. It’s impacting all players.

This is one of the reasons players aren’t playing.

Fix the bug and people will play. Fix the bug and new players will stick around.

It’s a PVE-official server.

With all due respect, I game on a HP Omen, way above system requirements and when I go near the raidable Stygian fortress I have no issues at all.

But castles that (on sight) go way over 10k building blocks and are fully decorated, thats quite the thing to spawn in for the servers.

I like that you have started to use words that indicate that you are simply stating an opinion…
I’m really curious though why you think new dedicated “season” servers are out of the question in your mind.
I’d be hugely surprised if THAT was the issue, since FUNCOM doesn’t pay for the server infrastructure the same amounts we would.
Hard to find any information on what FUNCOM pays for their Official Servers for CE, since they host or pay server hosts for multiple games at a flat rate. That would mean setting up new servers could literally cost them nothing more.
Yet I can’t imagine that for, say 20 new servers they’d need to pay a 4 figure $ amount, rather in the higher 3 figure range.

I almost got the Omen, but then I found the 4060 rtx board at a good deal. I haven’t stress tested yet, but there is a beautiful day ahead (to work on it).

Playing is actually playing the game. Spending 5 minutes through teleporters to refresh your builds every 10 days is not playing and is actually selfish in that you are taking up space that could be used for someone actually playing. If you are at that point in the server that you have done everything, log off and let it die. If you don’t you will get people having a legitimate demand to wipe the servers and you lose your character if FC changes their mind.

Agreed. But the pixels are important. Letting go is hard. Attachment is common. Sometimes it isn’t even the structures created themselves but the community and experiences once had. Sort of like some weird historical site… which is amusing to think about because FC CAN just flip the switch one day and byebye all Officials.

It’s easy to body vault with a decent start now. The prep is minimal and there’s fairly reliable ways to protect your character.

I usually prep 6 chests with build mats, 1 stack of food that gives me water, 1 fighter thrall, armour and weapons for both me and thrall, healing pots, buffs, all best worker thralls, at least 1 stack of all metals, etc.,… Changing stats is a breeze (I’ve found that A LOT of players don’t do this regularly). Wear redeemed for temp protection and a gas mask in case. I have literally everything I would need to restart in the 200 slot inventory, bar and equipment.

Then I fly up into the sky and log off.

Sure there’s the risk of the dying while logged off is there but has never happened to me thankfully, and as long as you ensure before you fly up fully fed, you shouldn’t experience the starving bug.

I don’t lose the progress this way. Sure I lose a base(s) but I’m used to that. I’ve rebuilt so many times over it’s templated into my head. Building now does not take a long time like it used to.

If I can have a fully functioning, nice looking and working base in 72 hrs from 0, anyone can.

however, what you describe is just the “maintenance mode”…once something new (used to be called ages with their chapters) comes around I usually play again for a few weeks. Then I do maintenence mode again for 2 month until the next chapter hits.

I count 2 “ifs” in that sentence…first is questionable, and the second even more so, specifically because wipes don’t even solve the problem of huge castles and overpopulation of official servers.
Building restrictions would solve that problem.

Tenho provas de texto via “Discord” que várias pessoas que jogam em servidores privados estavam com o mesmo problema que não é do servidor ou da funcom. O problema é do sistema de segurança da Microsoft, resumindo o problema é de cada computador que possua firewall.

Seus argumentos são fracos e não deveria ter qualquer importância e apenas atrapalha. Se não tem uma solução então recomendo que pare de interferir com suposições sem provas :thinking:

Who would make the decision and on which servers? you? It is the Age of War after all, let the players decide.

For PVE servers:
Maybe change up how the decay timer works. Make it a ‘raid’ timer, when it hits zero, the build will take damage and other players on the server can now raid and destroy the build.
