No mention of a fix for the console server browser bug. Hopefully thats finally been fixed after so long. I wonder if xbox will be included in the update this time around.
Its been 7+ months we’ve not had a functioning server browser for both consoles and nothing but silence from funcom so it is clearly not seen as a priority to fix. They’ve murdered the playerbase on xbox with their inaction on this problem.
Hopefully the fixes fulfill their intended function and fix what is intended. But in the name of all that is holy, please prioritise a fix for Fatalities in the next hotfix/update! They are so frustrating and disruptive in their current bugged out state; with them initiating when they are not supposed to, and the dismemberment not working.
At this point it does more harm to turn it back on and reveal how scant the console pop is now, especially if there is a need to justify expanding Dune to consoles from an investment standpoint. I don’t see this changing.
I played on two different PC official servers for an hour’ish each after the patch. Both of which are very built up. Not sure there are any that aren’t at this point. With 12 players online they were smooth as glass, no lag, no wonkiness at all. It was like playing in single player. At 15 players there began to be some slight wonkiness with mob/thralls pathing and responsiveness but not enough to be annoying and still very playable.
Compared to how the performance usually is with that many players this is a rather large improvement. Hopefully something to do with the patch and not just the servers having a good day.
I can’t speak to any other bugs or issues of course but for now this seems like a step in the right direction.
It’s not just the number of players but the players foot print on the server as well. I’ve seen the game run fine with 12 on and then fall all over it’s self with 6 on. It’s who is on that seems to make a difference. I haven’t gotten curious enough to start a list, but I got good idea who would be on it considering a good number of builds have one name on them.
You say that like it was different before Dune. For me funcom went radio silent after the first year. First year you couldn’t throw an ax with out hitting one or another funcom rep. The next year they got fewer and fewer. By the third year we had pretty much what we have now.
Isn’t it about time for another community manager to come on, intro themselves, tell us how different it’s going to be, then never post again?
