So is there any chance that in the future console players will get the chance to change land claim radius in game?

I tried to get my private server settings for the right thumbstick aiming sensitivity to save properly on ps4 by deleting my settings through the ps4 menu and signing back on to re-setup my controller settings in hopes that it would save this time, and now the land claim radius got reset and is now set to be way too far away with no way to fix it and makes all the trees in and around my base de-spawn turning it into a barren wasteland, making me feel like I will have to start over again and loose all of the time and effort I had put into building a town with walls and everything just to adjust the settings again so my town doesn’t look so plain. Please add the slider to the server settings menu for admins so at the very least the admin can fix it. If Ark can do it (and Wildcard sucks!) you should be able to too. Conan Exiles is a wayy better game but things like this really suck and kinda ruins it being able to change every other setting for the server except the land claim radius.

Hey there @Crom_is_king91

Welcome to our community.
When you mention private server, you mean a G-Portal hosted online server, or a coop server?

Hey thanks for the quick response! I really appreciate it. I’m just playing co-op with a couple of friends off my own ps4 in which I’m the admin, not on a G-portal server. I guess what I’m asking is if its planned to make the slider available in game for admins to put my mind at ease so I dont feel like any other base I make on this file in the future will have the same problem. Not being able to change the land claim radius without starting from scratch hurts pretty bad and I’m really torn about continuing to build on this file if there is no way to fix the land claim radius for us here, since it was fine orginally to begin with but after resetting the server settings, now it seems like it maxed out the radius or somthing, and nothing will grow around our base making it seem really plain and kind of ruining the aesthetics of our town. The concept of starting completely over after all the time and effort spent to get resources, Build walls and make a little thriving economy with thralls and stuff is a pretty daunting task especially to get my super cool treehouse build to work again the way I had it. Anything you could do to help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

For the time being the setting is disabled once the server is started as messing around with that setting after the server file is created could cause a lot of issues afterwards. Private server admins could fiddle with it, but it’s not something we would recommend.

What kind of private server are you referring to? Like a rented server from G-portal? Because I would technically be the host for my own private server off my ps4 and I dont have the option to even give it a try. Break my file or not, I’d rather try it out and find out it it didnt work the way I had intended it to and know for sure, since I’m going to have to start from scratch anyway after months of building. I had it originally set to .25 and now it seems like its changed to at least 10-15 foundations apart. I used to host an Ark server for over 2 years and had to adjust the land claim radius in that glitchy mess of a game many times before I got it to the perfect distance so not being able to experiment with it to find the magic number seems off to me. I’m trying my best to be calm and collected but you’ve gotta understand how frustrating it is to lose everything due to lack of one option. If its just being put on the back burner for now until the bugs are shaked out I can understand, but its gonna be hard to justify continuing to build under the current conditions.

For now we would suggest to start a new savefile with the preferred setting then

Wow that’s a very sad response maybe you can send it back to the devs to add this feature and can only be changed before loading into the game kinda like Ark survival evolved settings you can change them before you load back into your game no one wants to start over just for 1 setting that should have been implemented and properly thought out before hand. Hopefully this game will get out of early access anytime possibly hopefully oh wait it’s Funcrom they don’t care about there community or test patches for console properly or adding features that will add QoL. Listen to these people that enjoy your game for God’s sake open your ears and listen.

Thank you! At least somebody has my back. When I read that comment from Funcom my heart sank a little bit. For one they didn’t answer my question about what kind of private server I had to be on to be able to change the setting, which I’m now assuming is only for rented servers, but to smile in my face after telling them I was going to lose all my hard work was pretty gut wrenching, Heartless and shows how much they care about peoples creativity. I don’t understand how it could wreck my game anyway. I mean my landclaim was originally set to .25 and now it got reset to I dont even know, but not .25 anymore and it still works fine aside from all the stuff not spawning around my base. I mean I can live with the right thumbstick aiming sensitivity being jacked up to 1.0000 every time I log in and having to take 2 minutes just to move the slider down every day since it wont save and I even came to terms with not being able to host my own private server with a second ps4 to get rid of the teather like Ark can but but the starting over just to fix the landclaim is somthing thats pretty hard to take. Even if it did mess up my game how could you tell? The game stutters every time I go anywhere or open a chest, take out a sword, pull out my torch put on armor or knock an arrow in my bow so how could you even tell that the setting broke anything? Funcom may have already got my cash for the game and the dlc but my friends I was playing with before this B.S. happened, got the game for free off ps+ and had planned on buying the dlc, but now that the server got screwed they’ve moved on to other games. Like you said nobody wants to start over for just one setting…
