Perhaps this is part of the new lore about why sorcery is possible now with the bracelets. The “why sorcery is possible” part of the story doesn’t seem to be part of the testlive build.
Otherwise, this is a major violation of Exiled Lands lore.
Not necessarily. The time the Archivist is speaking of was long ago and the circle of swords was not a ruin. I imagine whatever magic prevented sorcery to begin with was destroyed when the circle of swords was destroyed.
