"Stand by for news"

i know what i ahve said and not said it seem you are so negative if the updates not live up to your standars so have fun

do not mistake negativity with realism. and it seems i was right all along. @Kikigirl is on the exact same page than i am. and she has tested this extensively. (way more than i did)
you say my standards? i would likely say most people standards, yours seems quite “relaxed” and forgiving ANYTHING WRONG funcom does, you do undertsand the bug complaints are still there?.. and they are not going away, and people complaining is still here, so it is NOT my standards, maybe you should check yours, i do know you are a single player guy and now very little on how things are on officials servers,. (i know youi dont care because it does not affect you) . but us, do care, reason why we keep fighting for a better CE.

again i promise if proven wrong i will apologize. if most of the bugs that are present in beta are gone, i will be the first to come here an apologize, because i can admit when i am wrong, do hope you have the same character strenght to admit when you are mistaken.

Regards/

good . i am glad, so there will be no surprises , and dont worry i will not add or change anything you said in the quotes. you have my word on it.

Every release since that promise has been Thursday. Sure you can argue that it’s too close to the weekend but where is the cut off going to be then? Fact is that they have honored their word on that one and we haven’t seen a Friday release since the promise.

I’m just curious how officials is going to handle the new living settlement, especially with the overbuilt nature of PVEC servers.

My guess would be a little something like this:

they promised to not launch so close to weekends. so tuesday, the last ipdaates has been on thursdays. which is REALLY BAD.

They’ve made the promise twice and both times they released 1 or 2 patches on Tuesday after making said promise then they “forget” again and go back to Thursdays.

Thursday is still a problem because it gives them exactly 1 day to fix any critical problem before they put it on hold for the weekend which HAS caused problems and is the reason people want them to knock that crap off.

Just expect the Update to land, there to be issues, there be a need for an urgent update(s), and hotfix(es) before things bed down. Same as last several Updates.

Modded server Admins and Players should expect, as in most updates in the past, delays for mods being able to be updated by their various authors (thank you in advance). Also expect that some Mods may be discontinued, etc.

All this ain’t new and have been a thing for every Update to date. Not making excuses for the Devs, but accepting how things have been in past Updates.
And always giving huge advance thanks to the Modding and TestLive Communities. The game owes a ton to both. Crossing all appendages that this Update proves flawless…

I think what people are forgetting is that when they made that promise it was because they put out an update on a FRIDAY and then buggered off for the weekend. Their actual promise was to not release any more updates on FRIDAYS any longer. And so far, they have not.

We can have a discussion as to whether or not Thursday is still too close to the weekend for a major update such as this one or not, and that is well and fine. But to claim that they have “broken their promise” by releasing it on Thursday already poisons the conversation with it’s disingenuous nature. As a community we WANT Funcom to be more engaging, to provide more communication. Do you really think that this is the best way to go about it?

Perhaps a better approach would be, “we appreciate that you have kept to your word to no longer release updates on Fridays. It has been a big help since then. However, for such a large release such as a new Age, or even a new chapter, we feel that it would be more appropriate to have a release date earlier in the week to ensure that you have more of a response time to ensure adequate time to react to any potential issues which may arise so as to avoid the possibility of another potential server roll-back”

Which update came on friday ?

Allá the ones i relate was thursdays or tuesdays. Usually the former quite more often.

I am sorry you are blaming the commubity for the lack of comunication?

Let funcom explain (if they want to) why the lack of comunication. I am sure they have not asked you to explain why they are not comunicating. So do not Even try.

This issues with funcom is by their own design community reacts to their actions and words, they havee seen praise when there has show improvements ( shorts lived improvements)

Sep 1st 2023. The update was implemented and thrall decay was reduced to 24 hours much to the surprise of player and dev alike. Hundreds of thralls blipped out of existence as people logged in. It was so bad that FC rolled back the servers.

and here is the promise announcement

there is a difference between minor server configs and major content updates.

Yes, there is. No one is arguing that.

There is also a difference between claiming that Funcom “broke their promise of not putting out updates close to the weekend”, in which they have only ever said they would “move even minor server configurations changes away from Fridays” as shown above, and as even you have been so kind as to quote, and from having a civil discussion where we ask Funcom to kindly move major updates like the implementation of a new Age to an earlier day in the week, such as a Monday or a Tuesday. The difference in these two approaches are rather apparent to anyone who actually cares about the results. The first option I mentioned, the one that has been used thus far in this thread, if rather disingenuous and is only likely to make the intended audience think that you are a rather ungrateful group who purposefully twist what communication they do provide in order to use it against them at any possible moment as a weapon to attack them. The second option is a means to open a dialog to discuss why the earlier requested date would not only be more beneficial for the player but for the company itself thus making it a net positive for both parties.

But you do you I guess, :woman_shrugging:

I DO remember them saying something about it, during the cromcoingate incident, about updates coming close to weekend, thursday is very close to weekend, (in my country weekened starts on friday) ill try to look around to see if there is anything regarding content updates on weekends or thursday and reply back, but i swear i was under the impression they said they would be avoding sending updates during or close to weekends.

Well, after today, it looks like this will be our last week in CE as a clan.
The guys have been upset with FC for a long time because of their inability to add unbugged content or remove old but critical bugs , nonsensical hits to core mechanics didn’t help much either.
Roughly half the clan has already played just because of BP - which won’t be anymore.

Honestly my backup plan is that next month I’ll find some nice place on the then probably empty server and do some small build there…
That is, if I don’t quit by then, too.

I’m so sorry Keldy :frowning:

I packed up on Beta since I never did receive a response to my question on if I should or not. But I have a lovely weekend ahead of me with family, drinks and nature. It did feel a bit cathartic to remove everything.

My clan mates and I pretty much gave up back in April when the update came out for UI overhaul. After months of non-stop hacking, years dodging the possibility of being unfairly actioned on through reports, watching rampant exploiting and unbalances in PVP, then to be kicked in the boobs by uneeded, unasked for system changes, most of us couldn’t take it anymore.

This is just so incredibly disappointing.

I am telling you

Do not expect response from them
They don’t care. Well they do want to squeeze more cash with the bazar

This Game is at it límits funcom knows it. Thats the reason they are not fixing it. Because they know they won’t. Support going away tells you a sad bit revealong story.

Funcom you can count i AM not ecpending a dime on any of your games
Never again!

Compare how comunication was in 2019 2020 2021 with today.

They really have to sort this one out in the next patch. Should have been fixed the day it was discovered but… Funcom.

I was on a Siptah server and a regular server (both official servers) with a buddy and we both gave up when the UI overhaul happened. We’re completely fed up with the horrible changes to the game but the mostly unwanted UI changes were the last straw.
