Stop The Gumba Meta

PvP has pretty much turned into a bunch of over encumbered nakeds double jumping on each others heads. Get rid of double jump or stop the instant death from being jumped on and make conan great again.

A change will maybe come with the next age update.

But yes, I agree. The current “PvP” META is at an all time low IMO:

  • Goomba build
  • double jump and bomb spamming from 15 meters away whilst mid air
  • last stand abuse
  • “Conan Strike” with all the bow + high AP abusers
  • Siptah harpy weapons
  • Siptah maces that 2 shot
  • dagger left click spam with target lock (even stronger now in combination with tar golems)
  • poor weapons that nobody uses in PvP (javelin, claws, 1h mace, short swords)
  • constant disconnects because of Golems and other special creatures
  • Invincible Golems

Prediction for the next age’s hot new meta everyone loves to hate:

Something that’s always been a thing and nobody did until a youtuber did it so now everyone does it and calls for it to be removed.

Bonus points if the first mentions of the build date back to 3 years ago or longer

and I really like it - it’s a great variety and a way to punish a too arrogant and aggressive pvp player + it gives a chance to somehow fight off trucks and people without equipment)

tbh the honest, woth raid meta being offlining, goombas a great way if you log in wiped to exact troll revenge. With crystal 4x server, a solo can make 100 bombs and then nitpick at the large clans. Actually creating some fun for casuals.

With that said, pvp (raid) needs to be rebuilt from ground up.

  1. Offlining needs to be costly if not removed completely.
  2. Clan size reduced to 5 max.
  3. All weapons need to be tiered, and stam cost adjusted to baoance speed of animation differneces to tighten dps differences.
  4. Perks need re balanced so “builds” have a rock/paper/scissors effect.
  5. Followere need to go. Just make thralls base defense.

*This is for raid pvp servers only, pve/pve-c i dont play enough to have an opinion on keta for those.

**And i know this a a pipe dream, as FC won’t put resources into addressing the pvp issues.

possibly a new spell or corrupted perk? Agility doesn’t have corruption yet (i think???). So part of more corrupted stats would make sense

It’s part of those weird things we discovered and speculate that might be part of a religion revamp.

There are these new things called “spell items” which are a cross between equipment like armor and spells. Not even sure though that it has to do with the next Age.

In any case some of them seem to point the middle finger to the current PvP style, so if they get implemented, I am having a hard time imagining how they could sell this to PvP players, which could be concerning.

pvp is low on thier road map tbh. Not angry, i have noticed it for over a year if not more. They are revamping the game to a more rp type pve experience, sandbox so to speak. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Yea, it does seem a bit like it. Now this is pure speculation, we even only mentioned it in the speculation thread Jimbo made… but it’s there and it seems to be getting some periodic improvement with all the updates, so while some of it might be a deliberate attempt to mislead (like the naming), idk…

The effects for the ones that are somewhat finished to me seem like it’s way too strong, like this one I describe in this post

The triple jump perplexes me. Why the need. Now if they have a new dungeon where extra chests with good loot are only reachable using it, then that is game design. But as far as the history of FC goes, theybtend to add stuff because they can, not because it opens a new extra reward way to play.

Oh right, so jokes aside and to stay on topic, I know most of you have seen it, but I’ll post the thread I made on this subject for OP and others who didn’t.

(As a side-note if that triple-jump and all that jazz ever sees the light of day in the game, this method will ofc require that the fall height be cranked up to like 3-4 foundation heights, instead of the ~2.5 used there - which might not actually be a problem as it would certainly feel more “natural” killing someone when you’re actually falling from very high)

You would take fall damage from a 3 jump height!

Jokes aside, I’ll just add my personal opinion here: I agree with OP, I really hope they remove the bloody cartoon double jump in the future. Killing foes while overcucumbered should be way harder to achieve, as it was proposed in the past a couple of times, not removed.

Which is why they need to add a fourth jump you can do just before you land. One of the best uses for double jump is preventing fall damage, anyway.

I’d be willing to accept a compromise of preventing double jump while encumbered (although this would slow down my regular stone harvesting round by at least two seconds - see how I’m willing to make sacrifices for you, PvPers!). If you want to do a Death from Above attack, you need to find a high place to jump from.

I agree with the fact that Mario’s build should not oneshoot. It looks really stupid. I think the optimal solution is a knockdown effect with low damage. (or 1 stack sunder effect). But taking away the double jump doesn’t seem like a good idea to me.

While this one defends the drop bear in theorey.

As currently applied, this one has issues.
A minimum distance fallen to trigger the damage should be required. A minimum distance quite more than what can be jumped to (even with a triple jump).
