Yes, you dont like the idea of flying because it takes away the usefulness of climbing - making it less valuable and moves you around faster.
Mounts did the same thing when comparing to walking and obelisks, and moves you around faster.

Not even close. You try to race a horse from noob river to the inside of the volcano and tell me you’ll get there quicker than map rooming in. You try to bring a horse up the tower of bats, good luck.
Each type of transport has it’s own merits.
All the more argument to have flying mounts then right?
They all have their place as you say.

That and flying mounts would be completely out of place and a rather extreme violation of the lore. Not to mention that the only flying critters around are vultures, crowmen and bat demons. The first is only interested in your corpse and is too small to carry you anyway, and there’s not a chance in hell that the second or third are going to let you put a saddle on them.

yeah, that bird flew out of the nest long time ago with how melee is the weakest mechanic in a game about a barbarian.
that would be even more easy mode than already implemented.
as a builder i would vote for stone, wood, iron harvester thralls

Not so. If that were true, Gandalf could have just flown an F-16 over Mount Doom and dropped the ring into it without having to bother with all that epic quest nonsense.
The existence of magic in a fantasy world is your get out of jail free card on believably, but that card is only valid as long as that magic follows it’s own set of rules and limitations. People, or even just wizards, riding around on flying creatures like they were the Hyborian equivalent of SUVs is quite clearly NOT a common occurrence in the Conan universe.

Heck, we have massive bats already in the game, flying versions are not that hard to imagine. While I dont know the lore behind the entire Conan genre, Im safe to assume there could be some kind of flying creatures the game you could tie to sorcery.
But, if we want to keep it strictly by the book, Ill point out here that in the game you can be impaled through the skull by an arrow and walk away. I dont think thats possible, no matter what universe we use.
Again, it’s not the existence of magic and flying creatures that is the problem. It’s the application.
I can understand that. And just like I said before, worthy arguments could be made the same way about land mounts that came in as well.
Though I highly doubt flyers will ever come to Conan, so I dont see a point in debating much further unless we know one way or the other if they were to come in or not.
Also Black Colossus, although that one shows the risks inherent in summoning otherworldly beings and trying to bend them to your will. Some players might not enjoy the idea of investing resources into summoning a flying mount, only for it to give you the finger and fly away as soon as you lose your concentration in keeping it dominated.

There is a mod for that. Played on a private server that had that, where you had to capture a specific thrall to put in a dedicated workbench with a special tool and fuel in the form of repairpacks.

Not really. The Conan universe is full of people riding around on horses. Some other land creatures too. In fact they’re so common that people probably have to fend off used horse salesmen every time they wander into a city.
When it comes to flying mounts though, it would be quite generous indeed to say that this is even a rare occurrence. You’re literally far more likely to have an undead skeleton serve you tea and cookies than you are to see someone riding a bat demon flying through the air.
As such, flying mounts v.s. land mounds winds up being an apples and oranges comparison.

In AION i flew myself, wich is amazing. PVP flying was awesome, I was a ninja Sorcerer.
On here they fixed flying rhinos (What we didnt want for the memes) yet now all other stuff fly when u kill it, go figure…
