Suggestions for in game

I don’t get what’s funny. Or why that’s relevent to this thread.

It is meant to be funny, because the atmosphere in the forums sometimes gets pretty negative. And I’m pretty sure @TeleTesselator posted that for the same reason too.

And secondly because you suggested weapons should be dyed so why not other things? (If I would be serious with the suggestion, but I wasn’t!)

I’m personally heavily against weapon dying/weapon skins, it just makes games feel cheap and look like a bunch of drunken unicorns vomited into the game. That’s why I don’t like Borderlands 3, I was thankful that the previous ones (my favorite games) didn’t have the option to reskin weapons, and then BOOM… I don’t want Conan Exiles to become a childish colorfest like CS:GO, BL3, etc.

It is NOT against you, sorry, it is against the idea of reskinning weapons to look like mommy’s toys.

I’d like colored weapons, but only with limitations. Metal could be tinted (bluing is an example but this is a fantasy setting so some leeway for other shades would be fine by me)just like it’s possible to do in real life, but it should still look like metal. Or even just lighter and darker shades of metal

Things like handle wraps could be treated like cloth and leather are and be dyed. It wouldn’t add much but at least when your weapon is sheathed it could look unique

I would LOVE to dye parts of weapons, but especially shields since they correlate with armor.

I’m totally against dying weapons and shields after they were crafted. But I’m for the possibility to add dyes in the crafting process to change their colours.

I don’t understand what you just said. It seems like you’ve said you hate dying weapons, but then you’ve said you would like to?

Not sure…

To me, dying weapons and characters is a sign of desperation on the dev’s end. It would imply that there is such a lack of interest in the actual game that it has become a fashion product. ESO dye station anyone? Nah, I think that would make me put the game down and never reenter. Just my own POV I guess…

Pink swords, purple dragons, and chartreuse warriors… Yeah, NOT my cup of tea…
