As an author, I continually seek mediums to explore my imagination; enter the world of Conan. As much as I love the game, it needs foundational and polish changes. I’ll list my suggestions in this thread. Hopefully, these can be of use to the innovative developers at FC.
Thralls
- Highlight the selected behavioral choices so we don’t have to guess at what we have chosen that isn’t working for our present situation
- Reduce the decision time for thralls (non-human followers seem to have a far better reaction time to defend/attack, i.e., my Greater Shaleback, just charges in while my human thralls often just stand there, run in circles, or charge in with their shield up while not attacking for over 30 seconds)
- The thralls have issue with terrain, it seems. Test: while in admin mode (cloaked), on the side of a mountain (not requiring climbing - we were at the camp beside The Barrow King entrance), the thrall killed a wolf and melee, but just stood and took arrows from the ranged. I killed the ranged after a minute or so, when it was clear she wouldn’t attack. Then she ran over after I killed the archer proving she could have attacked without issue.
Journey System
Before suggestions, I must pause to thank FC for putting something like this in place. Some of us need a bit of a tutorial and this has that potential. Kudos!
- Besides being buggy (had to log out/in for bark collection to trigger and I still can’t go past placing a Tanner’s Table as I get no credit), the requirement to do the steps in order seems absolutely contrary to the sandbox style game this is.
Construction Menu
- Search/Sort abilities - pretty please, I ain’t purdy, but … ;/
General
- Bring in whatever contractor you need to fix the underlying bugs that keep causing fatal errors, etc. Make the game playable so your awesome innovations and amazing environments can be enjoyed - please (I’m fairly certain at least a few of them are linked to Steam updates - we need a warning so we can properly exit the game before updates crash us)
Admin Panel
- It would be extremely beneficial to have sorting abilities here (i.e., light/medium/heavy and base/legendary/perfected/durable for armor, sword/hammer/dagger for weapons, geologic/biological/magical/special for resources)
Design
- The ability to place, and then consume, food on plates would be nice
