Why is it when me and clanmate are fighting together he keeps poisoning me ? any way to turn if this damage for group members?

Sorry PS4 me and my son were playing as clanmates yesterday and he is using a void gladuis as we were fighting mobs and he kept poisoning me in the middle of the fight. Just wondering if that is normal?
If you are playing on a private server or co-op friendly fire can be adjusted I believe it is in combat on official server not anything to be done.
Thanks kinda strange two people fighting together to help each other and take damage from them while tring to hit the same mob.

Even with friendly fire turned down I still seem to poison my wife some. I love the gladis
i like it as well just dont like getting hit by it while attacking a mob boss, you would think if you were in a group you wouldnt be able to hit each other.
same problem on private server, we are in same clan but still damaging each other. Its a bug?

We can hurt each other in PvP.
My question for you @Pecormd1 is why wouldn’t your partner’s blade poison you, if we’re Role Playing?

If you are on an official pve-C server , then your clanmates will only “hurt” you while in the pvp time , the rest of the time his blade won’t do damage/poison you . Since it’s always been like this I think it’s working as intended
wwell to answer your question if i was role playing and he was my friend i certainly wouldn’t hit him, but in this game you cant target a single mob and only hit that mob.
Ok now that helps only in PVP time. got ya.
I enjoy the “friendly fire” mechanic. It makes combat more realistic and strategic.
Try the Mongol strategy. Send your thralls in for melee while you and your team ride in circles around your target firing arrows. It’s so fun and there’s a low risk that you’ll hurt each other.
This is a broken mechanic and i totally hate it. Imagine friendly fire in mmo game in party. Its stupid AF.
Short swords were added by no reason cause they has stupid 2 hit animation. With this option on is better to send 2 thralls fight and do nothing just watching them, because if we do we hurt each other more then mobs. And 2x Teimos with 10-14k hp is unkillable machines with 2h Telif swords 80 DPS and full silent legion heavy armor.
It isn’t broken. It works like it is supposed to.
MMOs are great if you like to mindlessly bash things in a big cluster, but this is a “realistic” survival game. No oversized anime weapons and over the top visual effects here.
Our thralls are stupid AF and would slice you up if this mechanic applied to them, but it doesn’t. It applies to players because we are smart enough to give each other room and change tactics according to the situation.
spears work great if you want to be shoulder to shoulder in melee.

It isn’t a bug and the only thing i’m defending is the logic behind the mechanic and my opinion that it is more fun, realistic, and encourages strategy.
