Ionna the Seductress walked in last night. She is now in the prison, awaiting her assignment.

I had 4 hired named warriors: Freya, Sarnai the Thorn, Captain`s Bodyguard Undina, and yesterday I discovered Captain, who is from the Relic Hunters.
Freya made a fighter, and two pirates made excellent archers. But the Captain is frankly weak, I don’t know if I will use him.
In addition to the main tavern, I opened 7 branches opposite large camps throughout the map. Something like a franchise. But this did not increase efficiency at all. And the composition of visitors is identical, both at the volcano and at the Nub River.

It does not matter how many bars you have. As of now, you will only have three that you can obtain at any one time per clan, not per bar. It’s why I always buy them and remove the slot for a new possible thrall.

I would think they will increase that number in the future, but running around to all the bars to find those three seems counterproductive.

Yes, that’s pretty much how it works.
But I also opened these taverns with an eye to the future, when the old purge returns. Each tavern has more than 50 building units and is located in an interesting place, and I place guards at each tavern. It will be interesting to watch the purges in the future…

I am a little dubious that the old purge will return. Granted, there are a few clans who would have no chance against the old purges due to their building habits, and I would like to see it for that reason alone.

It’s just logic that the current purge should be removed after the Age of War ends. No Stygians - no this purge.

By the way, in the case of a single player game, taverns do not work quite the same as on servers. When I start a new session and teleport to the tavern, very few people are sitting at the tables, 1-3 people, but in the first minutes 3 or 4 visitors come up. Then I teleport to another tavern - and the same thing happens there. The seats are never completely filled. That is, in one teleportation session to all taverns, I can witness up to 20 and more arrivals of visitors. In the next session everything is repeated. For some reason the game does not save memories of all visitors.

How about maintaining the recruiting aspects but also make the patrons about to be knocked out (including going hostile on the player)? So there is that t4 but you got to deal with a bar full of angry patrons if you try violently taking them

Pretty sure it was stated in a Livestream that the raid castle and purges were going to be around permanently. They did mention that they wanted to add more things to the castle, since it’s pretty bland right now.

This is very bad, because many people are already tired of them.
I can imagine how sick of them everyone will be in 4-5 months.
I heard that in part 4 they will add catapults that destroy walls. It will be generally tough, of course. But after the Age of War, this purge must go away, or there must be a choice.

As it is, I haven’t run a level 10 in a while. I dropped a coffer on the front porch of a small base and ran a series of level 1’s for bartenders I wanted. Other than that, we have enough of the current thralls available in the cages.

There were problems with the old purges that I hated.
Sometimes you had to wait days for it to trigger. The last purge we had before the switch took 6 days before it actually launched.
Waiting around for the purge and getting hyenas or imps instead of something decent.
Someone else drawing their Cimmerian Berserker purge over to your base because they felt the need to build close to you.
Hunting down that last baby gazelle to get the next wave to start.
475 waves of skeletons, but 1 or 2 waves of crocodiles.
Wave after wave spawning in the lava, and you just sit there wondering where they are.

They’d be real angry when they get cut off for interfering.

Day 2 on 8013…
Everything is primitive now, but it will change .

Tonight Bella is alone in this summer bar.

Tomorrow costumers may arrive, let’s hope purge lvl 1 will give me a tavern keeper!

Devs need to find another way yo trigger it beyond player actions. That’s what makes it rare once you are at the endgame. There’s not much to do that speeds up the timer. I don’t remember exactly what is was. Building something, killing an npc, crafting something and so on. Repeating these actions before the cooldown doesn’t work. It’s easy to understand the problem.

They’re entirely optional content, you don’t need to trigger purges or raid the castle.

Just like the Dregs dungeon, which has been in the game for years, and most veterans probably don’t find it very exciting anymore, but I don’t see many calls to remove it from the game.

If it were introduced into the game INSTEAD of some other dungeon, I think most would soon ask for everything back.
Personally, I’d like to bring back the old purge right now.
The optimal option, of course, would be to choose or even have them together (which, I believe, is impossible now).

I believe you misunderstand. This was after reaching the purge line. We were almost to the second line by the time the purge hit.

I remember way back when we hit the line and the purge came if not that night then the next.

The fastest way to advance the meter was:

  1. Build a foundation or column not on currently claimed land. Just tear it down immediately.
  2. Kill an NPC
  3. Die

If you did those every 15 minutes, the meter advanced quickly. When the entire clan did it, we could get the meter over the line by the next day, provided we were all on for long time.

There is only one reason I would want the old purge back. On one of the PvE servers we play, and I’m sure it’s probably on many I have not seen, there is always that one clan that thinks they own the server. They are a two man clan, and have built enormous bases everywhere. They have been contacted, and they act like it’s everyone else’s fault if their console lags.

They will retaliate against any player who says anything to them by building trash all around so the player cannot expand, or, in some cases, even log in without getting booted.

Yes, they have been reported. At least 8 players have reported their builds that I am aware of, but Zendesk keeps sending the “We are so busy” e-mails.

Because of the size and lack of any thralls, the old purge would do so much damage to their expansive builds that it might keep them in check.

Other than that reason, I would not care to have the purges back. I’d rather just trigger a purge, or not.

Removing the new features does not bring the old version back. Bringing the old version back brings the old version back.

You want the right thing, but you’re asking for the wrong thing.

I didn’t say that.
I said that, logically, the old purge should return someday. And I’m looking forward to it.
