Hello, Can you please fix the 4th perk of accuracy? Level 40 accuracy to many less damage than level 39 accuracy. See previous posts. Thanks.
I am super happy with the attention to getting stuck inside the Rhino boss. Would also like dragons to receive the same treatment, and make sure they don’t constantly push thralls into the ground.
I’ll second that! ![]()
Yeah we broke something. Thanks for the reports. Been looking into this for awhile and we seem to understand what is going on.
Short version is that you can play on the new version using the ‘testlive’ branch on the normal Conan Exiles client. Unfortunately the Testlive Client will not work with the new version. There is an issue with the Funcom Live Services where it isn’t allowing the Testlive Client’s steam appid to connect. I’ll continue looking for work arounds.
This should have also broken last week also, but there seems to either have been a bug in that version, or we messed up when uploading the version to Steam. Some of you might have noticed that when you launched the Testlive Client last week it actually showed that you were playing on the Normal Client in Steam. Still investigating to see why this was happening.
Sorry for the inconvenience, I know swapping branches from live to testlive isn’t fun. We will continue to work on a work around and a new version that will prevent this from happening in the future.
seems like an authentication server issue for the funcom live service.
third this
Thank you for taking the time to let us know. We appreciate the open communication and look forward to testing the new revision once this bug has been squashed.
love the honest response. @scottj
thank you.
It has been like that for long now. I have played alot on the testlive client but in steam, it was always showing me as playing on the normal client.
Funcom thankyou all so very much for hearing our feedback and concerns. This is why you all have such a loyal fanbase, and a big part of what made this amazing game such a success.
Of course. And please try not to take some of the communitys more adverse reactions to heart. I know we can be a trying lot at times. But most replies at their core are usually driven by love and passion as opposed to disdain. We just love the game.
Thankyou kindly peoples! I am curious, will this also apply to Reptilian Monstrosities based on their similar physical appearances?
I am probably going to lose any demographic I have with this bit, but here goes. As a guy who usually likes to fight bosses and world bosses solo, I am used to that knockdown, drag out, long and drawn out epic showdowns. So this doesnt really phase me too much. But it will please most of the PvE playerbase who have expressed concern over this, so for that reason I welcome it wholeheartedly. Its not all about me.
However, I wouldnt have minded seeing a small upwards adjustment of player characters. For me personally; Strength is all good, but I would love to see perk 2 ‘Salting the Wound’ restored to 25% (or even 20) as opposed to 15%. This may seems small, but it made such a nice difference to solo play. But for me the main one is Vitality. It would be be nice if each point we sank into Vitality would increase our hp pool by a little more than it currently does. It doesnt need to be a large amount.
SUGGESTION/REQUEST: I am wondering, and also submitting a humble request here. While we are currently adjusting follower values, would it be at all possible to address/adjust the disparity between Pets and Thralls? Or would that need to be done in a seperate update? Most members would agree that Pets are just not competitive by comparison. Pets can not be given stronger sets of armor, equipped with better weapons, or equipped with gas (sandstorm) masks. Would it be possible to give pets something to bring them up to par? For example, a larger health pool, a larger passive agility bonus, gas immunty, etc. I am NOT saying that it should one of these things specifically. Just…something, anything. Im an animal lover at heart (cats especially). ![]()
In the last hour have experienced one server crash and multiple lockups on US PVE Testlive server. There appeared to be an update after the crash. Local system would freeze forcing a reboot, when getting back in it was apparent that the game had continued to run, character was somewhere along the last line of travel. The computer I’m on has been running in it’s current configuration for a number of months without incident, and has run on the Testlive server for a couple of days without incident.
Regarding the update being tested, it seems that the actual problem is the health of player characters relative to NPCs. I’m wondering why you would start modifying Thralls, Bosses, etc, rather then just upping the PCs health? Kind of seems like the more complicated way to achieve a PC/NPC balance. Up until the crash and subsequent lockups, with the exception of invisible sandstorms happening every time there was a sandstorm, things seemed to be working well. Just got to the level where I could challenge a 3skull Boss so that has not been tested yet, 1skull bosses seemed more balanced WRT player characters though.
Bourbon, concerning the second paragraph, increasing the PC health also has an effect on the magnitude of heals and buffs which could be a convoluted path. I’m not arguing, just adding to what you are saying.
I, too, would like more health since I’m a hero

jim
I confirm
this has been happening for a long time.

Jim, I understand, and I’m sure there are reasons for not just adjusting the PCs. I just hit L60 on the TL server and it does seem like you are not getting one-shotted anymore, or as much. I tired the Witch Queen with the giants tonight. I’ll try some of the 3skull bosses tomorrow. I was able to get more involved, actually fighting with my Thrall, instead of doing healing arrow support. Initial impression is good, although it does seem like more of a grind, but that may be the equipment I have on the TL server more than the anything.
Due to the server crash and screen freezing I took a bit of a break, then I did not venture far from home for a while. After a while with no issues, I went out and did some personnel recruitment at Sep City and ran the Witch Queen dungeon. All went well.
Three issues I noticed.
Regarding God’s
Decrease the damage by 50% increase the time of the summoned god by 50%
Increase the marit to 1500 not 500
Make it so you have to have a T3 altar for at least 24 hours. Avoiding people just coming into a server and sneak goding people.
I have a workaround that will stop you from having to install the testlive branch over the live version if you already have the testlive client installed.
Now if you want to play the normal version again just undo all that and restart steam. It looks like a lot but it only takes a second and its way easier than redownloading files you already have on your computer.
This problem, while I understand it is a bug right now, is a huge issue because this means that now not only do we have to be connected to the net to play even single player we also have to be able to connect to the new Funcom servers in order to play with no offline option.
Funcom please allow for a full offline option. I get that you removed denuvo, mad props for that btw, and are probably using your servers to validate the legitimacy of an install but even Adobe with all their anti-pirate nonsense has an option to load their products in offline mode if you can reach their validation servers.
If you release this to live without an offline option for people who can not reach your new servers for whatever reason and it prevents them from playing you are going to have a massive issue and over 11k angry players on your hands. Trust me when I say the time and money it will take to put in this feature will be a more than worth it safety net for you. Please please please listen to me on this.
What if you use a mod that adds offline mode?
- Fixed alignment issues with Argossean Vaulted ceilings.
- Fixed collision issues with Argossean beds.
Yea that cool but that not all with that DLC
In my case, your workaround way only forced Steam to reinstall
the game. I have the Testlive client on a different drive, maybe that’s why…
Edit:
CONFIRMED
Conan Exiles (Live) and Testlive Client versions of the game must be in the same Steam folder.
