Once crafted it has an icon.

I will be more specific.

Our clan’s main base is beside the Black Galleon. On the south “shore” to be exact, up on the rocks beside Pariah’s Overwatch. It has two approaches for a purge- in the desert beside the Galleon, and up from the stream below the Galleon.

We have four archers and four fighters on each of those two approaches, plus four dancers in town. That’s twenty thralls total; the most of any base we have.

I already visit all of our bases at least once a week to keep the decay timers fresh. Usually two. If it is possible to put food in those pots and have it last for 7 days, to feed 20 thralls, then it will be managable. It would be unfair and make no sense to implement a system that kills off all of your thralls in less time than it takes your base to decay anyway.

Yeah you make a great point. Honestly the best suggestion on the feeding ssytem I’ve heard.

I do not play solo. But I do play more than the rest of my Clan does. I’m never on alone.

But to be blunt, with all the bugs and frankly terrible decisions (Offline purge mostly), it has been harder and harder to convince the others to drop in more often. This is just the final straw that I’m fighting to not break the back of the camels we will finally get to punch once the Pets are released.

Personally making the game less fun by adding bees and feeding fish traps and making the grind harder is a BAD move. If there is no thrall for taming animals like you accelerated on the stream to cover up that it would take forever to prep and train is beyond me. I didnt come here to play ARK farming and grinding. and vaults being 150k after it was 600k is a JOKE. 25 bombs and poison shot I can farm in 30 minutes on officials. Whoever is balancing this damage structure needs to be fired. Between thralls and pets troth which im on the fence with but its to extreme for most of your RP players even. Make the game fun first grindy to a ok level so people dont lose there souls unlike ARK, because this player base wont survive another screw up of a copy and paste pet system from the thrall system.

I mean thats what this test phase is for to weed out the bad stuff and try to make it all balanced.

Yeah I understand the whole losing your souls to the level of grind in Ark. This game already has better combat and building aspects to it. I dont really think that their intention is to make a copy and paste taming system.

I hope that’s what they do. My fear is though, that they are going to say “Well, you can make it that way with server settings, so it’s all good.”

And then set those settings to the absolute minimum on official servers.

Just like they did with the Purge.

you didnt see the changes to materials then have a look at bugs needed for fish traps. and farm for bugs with a achurian pick, go to have any ammount of thralls/ pets for more then 10 days with this and do the math on upkeep for 5 pets and 15 thralls (reasonable size small base force)

also account for this is anti small clan and they are gone for the weekend and the thrall and pet upkeep kills all the legendary thralls it needs to be scaled better or the troth be refrigerated since it acts like a simpler version then a tc in rust

Okay - its stupid that we can tame a thrall by feeding him/her gruel but afterwards they only eat the best stuff?

I call bull on this one. Gruel. tier 1 especially should be happy to have it. Make hp and hunger dependant on better foods if you must but I ain’t getting a slave and then feeding it better than my own character who’s still eating bugs half the time - exploring is more fun than killing animals. period.

GRUEL is not cruel. Bring back Gruel for thralls!!!

they would need to change the base fundamentals of the thrall mechanic period and rework the whole thrall fighter system and pet system since it is a close clone of the thrall pak setup. when you kill a pet they drop cloth clothing showing they did such a thing.

If the pet system launches in anything approaching this state, we will be playing without pets and without any combat thralls, period. If I can convince my friends to do that much. If not, well


We play on Xbox. So unfortunately I have to rely on reports from those who are on Test Live.

It would have been easy to get fish for thralls that will eat it. Thus, they made fish much harder to get.

Black Ice also requires oil. So, yeah
 At this point, I’m hoping to see a repeal and rework of the entire system.

What makes it worse is dancers require certain types of fish/lobster and you cant seem to catch either now.

If I may offer a suggestion for the “feeding system” in regards to Thralls. Perhaps a different balance is required. I’m thinking more in terms of ‘the carrot and the stick.’ Thralls are basically people (omnivores). Thralls should be able to eat anything the player can eat. Thralls should not be “punished” with starvation just because a particular food isn’t available. Likewise, Thralls may have a “favorite” food. Supply the thrall with his/her favorite food items (such as randomly chosen three types of foods), and that thrall may get a buff (increased strength and vitality, for example). This would be useful for players who like to adventure with a favorite thrall (set to ‘Follow’).

But if that food is not available, then that thrall would still be able to eat, but just not get the food buff.

Perhaps different foods provide different levels of buffs, too. For example, gruel might keep a thrall alive (and compliant), but Grilled Steak or Dried Meat might give a thrall a small buff, or something like Honeyglazed Roast might give a medium buff, and a full meal like Lasting Meal might give a large buff (each type of food, increasing its benefit based on the number and rarity of the ingredients necessary to make it). Also, the better the food, the stronger the loyalty.

Likewise, the “stick” part can simply be the lack of any food. Starvation would certainly compel thralls to ‘run away.’

But we want to game to be fun and rewarding. Thus, inspiring players to seek out the better food ingredients to benefit their thralls’ needs would add more dynamic to the game while at the same time, having any food would make sure the player’s progress isn’t lost (thus, casual players won’t be penalized for not playing as frequently – they won’t lose their thralls since any food would work). And a player who has moved on to another game, well, starvation would take care abandoned thralls just like the building decay system does.

But I would agree that the building decay system probably needs to be set to at least two weeks and similarly, thrall starvation should be set to two weeks, too. Its not unheard of for people to go on vacation for longer than a week (as I’m sure anyone from Norway can tell you). :stuck_out_tongue:

Also, with casual players in mind, the distance a thrall pot should be set should also accommodate large bases (so maybe something more like 100 meters in distance, or more) with a visible range indicator (select a thrall and get information on how far the nearest thrall pot is from that thrall
 or a message that the thrall is not in range of a thrall pot).

Hope those suggestions help find solutions or generate ideas for the future fixes.

Queen bees and workers are for honey production queens stay but workers are converted. That one seems functional but you wont be hoarding honey like before. As for fish and thralls those need some major work arounds (Fixes or adjustments).

Game mode: Single player

Any thrall either spawned or broken on the wheel of pain has 100 HP max.
