Certain animals require a certain tier of animal pen to be tamed.
T1 Pen can tame Hyena, Shaleback, Gazelle, and Ostrich
T2 Pen can tame boar, camel, croc, rocknose, shoebill, spider, panther, jaguar, tiger, wolf
T3 Pen can tame locust, rhino, bear, frostwolf, sabertooth
Given that T1 and T2 pens do not, in fact, need to be able to hold a full grown rhino, can we get them shrunk down to a more manageable size?
My 2 cents on the thrall feeding system.
No person will ever die of starvation if there is a food source available to them. Period. No one will look at hamburger helper and say ânah, Iâll die of starvation because there is not fillet minion.â
Make it so they will eat the preferred food first. If that isnât available, let their HP drain a bit lower, then eat what is available for a lower hp to stock ratio. If all the food is gone, then they die. Tis seems like common sense to me.
Vaults hp are nerfed cause people are lazy and dont want to farm for the bombs to take down the vaults plus they want fast raids âŠtoo bad cause your right
I be most comfortable if youâd abandon the idea of thrall feeding altogether. My second choice would be a server setting to turn it off.
Failing that, then at least make thralls capable of eating ANY food, not a specific type;
AND make that food last at least as long for the thrall as it would for the player.
They shouldnât abandon the idea. I think they should lower meat drop rate for all kinds of meat so you wonât be able to feed 50 men with one antilope or get tons of meat for yourself. Then change meat kind that is dropped to let it be always exquisite meat if butcher axe is used or change the food kind for thralls but make it like all fuels, lower tier shorter time. And gruel should be harder to acquire like longer crafting time or more seeds and fiber.
There has to be a system that is fair to everybody. Thatâs the most basic rule of game design.
The system as-is on Testlive punishes:
Prolific builders with many large builds in any mode, that use thralls as purge defense. Or decorations.
Casual players that wonât have time to constantly feed them.
People that want to build up north, as the fishing nerf also dramatically makes it harder to get oil. Also T3 cooling builds as itâs also harder to get ichor.
So, yeah. If you build in Sandstone or stone brick in the desert, youâll be just fine as long as you donât keep any fighters, dancers, archers or pets.
Everybody else? The more successful you are, the harder the game punishes you for it under this system. You think servers are emptying out now? Watch what happens if this goes live without a complete redesign.
For the Singleplayer people they builds big bases i think so too there should be an Option to Turn the feeding system off (the decay system WE also can Turn Off) . Mostly from them build multiple bases it would be hard and not funny to Feed all the thralls. Or implement an Hunter Thrall that will put Food in the pots.
Also would Like the Idea that the different races will eat different Food.
Exiles: gruel and eggs
Dafari: human meat and eggs
Dogs: meat and eggs
Relic Hunters: exotic feast and eggs
Black Hand: Meat and eggs
Lost Tribes: fish and eggs
New Asgard: honey meat and eggs
Vulcan: Special meal
(Eggs feeds not as long as the specific civilization Food so you can start there too but handle Not so much thralls with it - Hunter Thralls put only eggs in it and from the pet system you can have animals that will give you eggs too)

So you can handle more from the lower Regions and there it would also be intersting to build not only in the end game area.
Testlive EU3, I fail to understand how this can be on testlive already. Nothing with the new system is working, thralls are even more useless than before. I could start writing a test report every 3 min of playtime on testlive, but what is the point really? Testlive is meant to be for polishing a new mechanic before it goes live, what is currently on testlive is the broken game from before with more added broken mechanics. For a moment this morning we reached 17players on EU3 and all the old problems with thralls and mobs not reacting resurface. Now that this âpet systemâ is live and you introduced farming simulator into Conan Exiles, how will you treat the bugs? I mean do the ânewâ bugsâ(as far as they can be called bugs) get priortity over the âoldâ bugs? And yes, you did keep 1 promise: They work like thralls. They also follow you 99% of the time backwards, they also do not âfollowâ but simply teleport to you, they also die for no reason with no message in the log, they also teleport to a ledge when you climb(looks funny with a Rhino on follow), they also run away from the enemy instead of engaging it, they also are on follow for eternity after you swim with them on follow(they vanish when you are in the water and magically teleport to you when you come out of the water, ⊠So what will happen now? Are the old bugs that existed before going to be fixed now before this goes live? Or will they simply keep being ignored? You simply cannot keep adding stuff to a broken system⊠My 12 year old girl makes better AI in her scratch games⊠And no that is not being sarcasticâŠ
So far i can see that there are still some bugs concerning the placement of foundations and there are some ocasions of a random corpse disappearance when i turn my back from them or if i distance my self from a recent slain enemy. AI is improved which i am glad to see, there is still work on the AI, aggro still needs work, but now it fights as itâs life matters.
Fish traps are simple machines now. Bugs in, blue fish out. 1 blue fish = 1 oil. I havenât figured out what makes them produce the other fish, but thatâs part of the fun of this process. Please donât be dismayed.
