The Bloodbath - Fury's First Seasonal Minigame Tournament

How do you protect someone from 6 rangers using pen shot with 100% cc resist simultaneously when there’s nothing for them to line of sight around?

Yeah the arenas are terribly designed for anything except melees and duels. They need pillars and stuff like in WoW otherwise it won’t be fun at all (we can do melee matches of course but that excludes a lot of classes and even players then).

All I propose is we test it out

I like the idea, but it is hard to make it work inside a mini-game map due to the restricted space. Would work extremely well in an open pvp zone because you can have multiple teams going at it and the king would act more like a quidditch ball.

I don’t know about that. If the king just runs away, his team will fight 5v6, which is often a losing battle. I think the king dynamic would be healthy to reward players who can successfully burn down tanks. Just multiply the deaths on the tank by 3 and that’s the points earned.

I think the larger issue could arise in teams refusing to push, as its hard to successfully exit a push, and an unsuccessful push would be the only real time that tanks should die.

That said, I’d totally be down with each team declaring a “king” who would be worth additional points if killed.

Imo if we want to have Premades, the best option remains minigames maps. Other options (arena, open space) or more complicated rules (Kings etc) will just make games a lot less enjoyable.

No one was against mini-game maps and normal Premades. It was just an idea of a single person to change that format as far as I saw, and then someone followed it.

LOL @Ptah for the sole arena tournament vote

imo king shouldnt be a tank to control dynamics of the fight. this way a team is obligated to protect their heal/dd and therefor has to make use of their ccs and keep an eye out on each other.

Look at results of premades. Games was on kills, so tanks without flags( 20% movement speed) was overpowered. So if make someone like “king” it should be only tanks in my opinion. And you can’t save your clothie under 6 men focus

damn that was ages ago, i mean tam for ut but was hell of a fun for sure
anyway if you yet dont know about it you should certainly try new pre-alpha version of latest UT and
its Blitz mode
its for free on Epic Games Store
its awesome

sorry for offtopic

btw i also agree that Last Man Standing in some of arenas could be good go

Premade is a minigame, I don’t even understand why you guys are talking about this kind of funky stuff like kings and arenas and whatnot.

Also, premade is not a setup, it’s a group of players and all their alts. We should be flexible to counter whatever comes our way, and not forced to play with 8 registered characters.

Btw, when give rewards?

I actually do play it on occasion. It has a small community.

Can we move out of this dead server, or we need to wait for the rewards to be given out?

I think you need to stay on fury until the rewards are dispensed. Not sure, up to @AndyB

I would stick around until you get your rewards. moving server may cause confusion because its not an account reward. only a single character.

first time u tagged @AndyB was like a week ago

mod edit: removing unnecessary and disparaging commentary

Hey all. I have two anniversary events about to launch concurrently starting tomorrow so I’ve been a little busy. I apologize for the wait. Will work to get everything going as quickly as possible.

In this scenario. I was seeing the king as an independent party not affiliated with any team. Hence the quidditch reference

The addition of extra mechanics always adds a new element of strategy to PVP seeing as how we wont be getting any official new modes or maps. This does place alot of trust and responsibility on the teams but after seeing how every team for the most part conducted themselves professionally and friendly in the Fury tournament, I think its possible. Maybe try em out on a PUG premade day and see how it works first?
