I’m unsure about the average quality in iron league, but In a team with pure new guys, 1 veteran would determine the outcome of the match. And score would be 20 to 40 kills for this one person while others maybe have 2/3 kills.
You need to differentiate between Iron players and completely inexperienced. Look at the Iron signups (yes, even if you exclude OG)… There guys are totally capable players, even a lot of veterans. The important factor is gonna be comms / leadership.
The only real farm-fest we saw in the Fury tournament (30-40 kill DT) was when the enemy team had no tank and frontline hero, except a BS I think. A mentor would ensure such mistakes won’t be made.
Exactly where we apparently differ in opinion
if they are experience players, why not join steel league. I feel iron league should be for the PvE fanboys to start enjoying fair pvp. As it is now, starters cant get any kill in minigames. Not much fun for them.
Experience players shouldnt be affraid to join steel league.
Experience isn’t all-determinative. You can have a lot of experience and still be pretty bad at the game.
Teams with experienced players still got farmed by the better teams in the Fury. There are many levels of skill.
Noone attending Iron are gonna be complete starters. Maybe eventually, but that’s not how it is now. I don’t disagree about having a league for complete starters though, and maybe Iron could be once the teams that are in iron now have warmed up and moved to Steel. So maybe next season iron will be more of a newbie arena, if there are people with interest
I myself have played since launch I have multiple pvp 10’s in that time I have done maybe 10 premades mostly on teams with zero experience same as myself . Everyone was desperate to get the iron league working and without the guys who agreed to drop down and help it wouldn’t be happening. The important thing is the league has worked and brought new interest to premades that wasn’t there before. I agree going forward it needs to be made even more starter friendly . But I can tell you now if you think we would have signed up just to get farmed in the steel you are wrong , so you have gained minimum 2 BLR teams to your premade rotations where as without the current iron league you would have none. With the guys who dropped down I can also tell you we have learnt a lot , there is a big difference in premades and pugs on the communication front and they have helped us out enormously with their experience. Also teaching us class balance and synergy between classes something none of us was on the same page with , if iron league is to give people a start I can tell you it has given us a great start and wasn’t that the purpose ? A league where people are to learn and improve moving onto steel league…
Sounds to me like the iron leaguers (this season) feel it is necessary to have at least one steel league player. I think the important thing is to make sure there is a limit of 1 active (played in this steel league) steel league player per team.
If you start adding any more than that it becomes less of a league mean’t for players not quite at the steel level.
Alright, in the interest of the community and making a single rule that every team can abide by, let’s all agree that one steel player (player on an active steel-league team) MAXIMUM per Iron league team
Isn’t the poll indicating the community votes for no steel in iron?
poll was kinda hard to read.
make another where one player is what is meant by allowing steel players into iron
Every captain of iron league teams except OG has voiced a desire to have one steel league player in a coaching/asssistance role. Because the captains are the ones doing most of the heavy lifting for this, I’d like to do what makes them and their teams happiest.
From what it sounds like:
Delred will help BLR1
Supershyka will help BLR2
Ueber or Skuxx will help YEG. Waiting to hear which one.
Sounds fair
Its not about proove each other smth or we are better & more outstanding , just need a fine tactik issue minis vs good dedicated players ,in which YEG premade is,so i finaly had a some dialog with Dengizik about it and we are both in a stage of grouping up and find good players for that so no drama here ,its all about more good games must go on
Conqs going balls out
Nice to see IL games happening. I hope it was fun guys!
Waiting for more screenshots.
I want to see these iron league casters focus these conqs. They don’t want deaths.
Anyway these tournaments need a rule: must be forbidden to stack classes. Otherwise to win it will be viable only to stack the strongest classes of the moment (that are and will pretty much remain Brute Conqs and Barbs at the moment), and other classes will have no chance in very competitive games to find space.
Not sure if u checked properly but, the team with 3 conqs lost to team with one, not to mention demo is pretty strong against conq
but I do agree that class stacking should not be allowed, since having x2 bs means u have basically permanent team wide prot buff for everyone, essentially making everyone a conq
Let it all out boys lets get this all out on the table.
It won’t happen korando. The Specials With Attitude need their 2x bear stack and 2x conq stack.
Predicting the double barb stack for the finals. I mean how else could they compete.
Let us not forget this gem:

By all means pick which classes I should play. I would love to get bootyraider in the next one to spread those cheeks.
