The current console experience

You do realize that most modern TVs have DVI and HDMI connections, yes? Before I left college I was using an older model flat screen as my monitor with my PC. It worked great.

Exactly why I would recommend just buying a gaming PC. Sony and Microsoft are in the console market because its cheap and they will never put any serious electronic thru-put into these small boxes.
I actually had to upgrade my old PC to play in ultra, but it was worth the 2k I spent.

Wow 25 years with Sony and you’re just now feeling betrayed ? I jumped ship after the 2010 hacking of the whole Sony network that caused congress to get involved.

The idea people will need to buy ps5/Xbox next generation to play a game sold as a ps4/Xbox 1 seems kind of sheisty.

Well you dont have to. It plays on ps4 just fine and xbox has an intense focus at Funcom until its back in shape, as mentioned before.

I know, but some are suggesting that as the fix. But that should not be the fix at all.

We should combine this thread with the eager beavers who want Siptah on consoles right now before its ready…

Well my dear friend I am slow burning , you know the diesel for ships :rofl::rofl: . I have a thing with consoles I know and @JJDancer is very correct ,the best performance in every game can be performed only by Towers .It is that damn habit with controllers and these gorilla fingers that make my life so difficult on the keyboard . Some time ago I try my luck in lol , actually it was my first online game , it was a nightmare until I learn how to press just one button :rofl::rofl: . However I learned Minecraft in pc and when I tried to play it on PS4 :face_vomiting::face_vomiting::face_vomiting: . So I can imagine the difference pc and consoles have ,but a habit is a habit  .

My you sure seem entitled don’t you. No need to troll those who want the expansion instead of being ignored by Funcom. It’s been on PC half a year there is no legitimate excuse. If there are issues it is all Funcom & Tencent’s fault for failing to meet there obligations to the consumers aka us. We are entitled to proper service and treatment.

I strongly disagree as someone who’s got huge hands. I use controllers and desktops well. I do hate laptops because my hands get cramped.

I loved the curved one that Microsoft had ,it had big buttons and it was really convenient , still it took me some time to learn to press the correct buttons , at the end I became really good :rofl::rofl: . Right now however o have one good gaming laptop that I bought it last year , still I use it only for work and nothing else . If it is going to be necessary I can see my self playing Conan on my laptop  .

Quite the opposite; for myself at least backwards compatibility is one of the biggest selling points of a system. I dislike the concept of having to re-buy a game I already own to play it. Sure I could dig out one of my old consoles, but its a pain in the neck having to unhook one system to hook up another.

And I’m the one who thinks they’re entitled? Check yourself.

Honestly the whole hack thing was constantly blown out… so many people have 2 accounts… let alone all those people who make extras to troll etc. (you just need email…not even working one)

Personally, consoles + controler + couch + huge tv = cheap and simple way to play. Or maybe playing since Atari has just locked me in.

I’ve played PC before… constant updates, constant task manager checking on way I’m losing fps… oh noes… windows update force closed game again… yays.

PC is such expensive hassle… and to keep it up to date is such a damn drain.

I just recently got a MSI 16gb - 500ssd laptop. 850ish$, which should last me for long time. (only do to my old lap top just not running youtube videos right, or any website with 100+ ad’s bogging it down.
I kinda got it as gaming laptop… Mostly just wanted to play some of my older games like LotrO and Morrowind. (no disc drive… not intrested in buying it a 3rd time again)

I’m firm hater of WASD as movement. (mouse is 100% king mind you) but wasd will never replace controler left stick…
Most games… even when I can jerry rig ps4 controller to it… never feel right. Itlest on console, all of set up is taken away. I just pop disc in and play. Most setting I have to tweak is auto aim off… or turn down voices. XD

Sadly, I dont really have plans to rebuy CE a 3rd time. So far… I’m playing a 15+ year old game on my shinie new laptop… yays Lord of the Rings Online. I may get DOAXVVfor my pervy needs. =3

I’m a fan of both. I like ps4 for the slicker experience getting in and out of game (and its MUCH faster to load compared to PC with mods) but I like PC for the (slight) graphics improvement and mods. I use a controller and 4k tv for both cause keyboards are for typing and controllers are for gaming by design. I never really got the whole pc vs console argument because both have merits and deficits. Also its not like PC is always > than console for performance UNLESS you have a computer that’s new enough to actually handle the game on ultra which undoubtedly costs more than a console.

You’re the one wanting to keep it PC only. It have CE on both PC and Xbox. I just don’t see the issue with Funcom acting like professionals instead of kids that don’t want to share their toys. Last I checked it was a supply on demand business. Shafting a large portion of your customers is complete stupidity and bad for business. In the end they will have to answer to Tencent for their lack of profits and business ethics.

Actually it wasn’t blown out of proportion . Millions of players credit card information was stolen. BTW i had 16 SOE accounts just for Star Wars Galaxies because of character limits. The Sony hacking hit more then Playstation.

Hahhah I play both dude. I’m just saying that adding siptah to the “problems” with consoles at the moment is going to add even more problems (especially to xbox). Its also just not realistic to send updates to sony and xbox with the frequency that early access has needed. You will want it till you have it and then you’ll be complaining about what you get at the moment. Best course which funcom appears to be following is to stabilize consoles while refining siptah and then when consoles are ready, launch them a completed product. Thats hardly an ENTITLED opinion.

[/quote]. If they want it despite the issues what gives the right to deny it to them? Hence the entitlement. Issues on PC may not pop up on console they are different platforms and should be developed side by side as such. Thats why Funcom fails and so many issues happen.

The fact that its Funcom’s IP gives them every right. Its not about entitlement its about PC being the platform where they can push fast steam updates for more rapid reaction to feedback, which also has the testlive branch as a check valve before going to the official version. Consoles haven’t sold a single copy of Siptah yet, so the only entitlement I see is people who think they have a right to something they havent even paid for. Entitlement is thinking you have a claim on future Funcom work after you bought the game.

It’s not their IP just a license to use the IP. The IP owner is Cabinet Entertainment. Conan will not become public realm until 2028. They own all of Robert E. Howard’s creations until then.
