Basic Info:
Platform: PlayStation 4
Issue Type: Gameplay
Game Mode: Single Player
Server Type: =SERVER TYPE=
Map: Exiled
Lands Server Name: =SERVER NAME=
Bug Description: After about 30 minutes, sometimes 1 hour, sometimes even less, the game freezes, the sound works, the image freezes and nothing can be done. Sometimes when I turn the game off when it freezes on PS4, an error and error code appears, and sometimes it doesn’t. I didn’t have this problem when I played before. The last time I played on the base map was about a year ago and I didn’t have such problems then. Deleting and reinstalling doesn’t help. Creating the world from scratch doesn’t help either. I really want to play Conan Exiles, but it’s getting annoying when it freezes after 30 minutes
Bug Reproduction: I don’t know. It freezes at random times. I’ve tried to check what could be causing the game to freeze. But everything I’ve checked doesn’t help. It just freezes at random times.
Same for me. crash, screen freeze, on a new game recently started. Only a few hours of play. Just 4-5 workshops. Back in the game, workshop without owner, including one emptied of its contents. And of course loss of knowledge unlocked at the start of the game. Waste of time.
for me it’s a bit like going back in time. But not such a waste of everything. For example, if I’m walking on a road for example 1.9 km and it freezes and I turn on the game, I’m behind and I have 1.8 km, not 1.9 km of distance traveled.
It’s annoying. You want to play nicely for a few hours and after some time, from 2 minutes to max 1 hour, you get suspended
I got the critical error the other day and the game just froze.
Unfortunately there is no way to know when it’s going to just freeze up, but the last time it happened i was in combat and it stuttered then froze.
Game needs an optimization patch on ps4/ps5.
Unfortunately, I doubt Funcom will ever release an optimisation upgrade for the PlayStation version this late in the game’s life. They should have done it for PS5 back when they released the upgrade for Series X/S. As more content is released, it’s just going to put more strain on last generation consoles.

I didn’t buy the game just to now not be able to play it. So they should fix it.
How old is your PlayStation 4? Is it overheating when it crashes? Does your single player game have a lot of placeables or is over 5,000 pieces?
It’s a few years old. I got it from my uncle who also had it for a few years. It doesn’t overheat or freeze. I play a lot of games and the only problem is in the game Conan Exiles.
About a year ago there were no problems with conan exiles. This year I played on isle of siptah and there were no problems either. I recently started on the basic map and there are problems.
Some games can cause 8th gen consoles to struggle. PlayStation 4 is 11 years old in November. As I mentioned earlier, the more stuff Funcom crams into the game, the worse it’ll get on older systems. Here’s an example-Rockstar had to remove features on GTA Online for last generation so it could continue to function
If they don’t fix the bug, they should give their money back. As I wrote, I didn’t buy the game just to not be able to play it :(. I hope they fix this problem.
Which error code are you getting exactly?Error codes | PlayStation Support
PS5 Pro DE is out, which means the support for the plain PS4 is ending.
As for the freezing, were you in your base at the time? There is one bug that funcom has not fixed. Any “container” could freeze just by opening and closing the boxes. It looks like a UI desync issue.
I get the code CE-34878-0. I did everything in the instructions on how to fix except initializing ps4. I don’t want to lose all the data from ps4. But I think initialization is not necessary since the problem is only in conan exiles.
And I was and I wasn’t. It freezes like this once differently, and once differently. While I’m doing things in the base, when I’m normally going through the map (traveling), when I’m fighting, etc., etc.

I realise it’s frustrating, but as long as you follow the instructions on PlayStation Support, you should be fine.
I did everything it says. I only didn’t initialize the PS4, but that didn’t solve the problem.
I reset the ps4 when i put in my ssd. It doesn’t heat up. If the game no longer runs on it, it should be removed from the PS4 catalog.
I watched the reticle to make sure my aim is correct. I didn’t use any cheat. I do have more suggestions, for later.
Well, that’s not doing everything lol. It’s like going through a 10 step checklist and stopping at step 9
I already wrote. I don’t want to lose all the data from my ps4. And logically, if the problem is only with conan exiles, then why completely reset the ps4? I understand that if it was a problem for most games. But here it is only for one game and for one game I have to lose all the data from my ps4? And it would turn out that it didn’t help. It’s just unnecessary, I would lose all the data from my ps4
