This is the level of intelligence the average conan player has:
People that complain are no baseless or homeless, people that complain lost a lot . So you cannot argue with these complaints by using the flaw of a mechanism my friend. And really what kept you playing 2000 minutes (estimated time of purge 20 min x100) in something broken. Don’t get me wrong i am not judging, i am asking. Giving 2000 minutes must kept your interest, or you were looking for something that never arrived, what’s the case anyway.
Now if you ask me if i am pleased from what i see, the answer is no (for the purge i mean not you ). It’s an unfinished, unpolished job that surely has potential to be something great, just not yet.
Have even tried to play the whole game alone with a sword of Crom? Leave the purge aspect, just the game.
If you haven’t all i can say is that you really lost. After all this time i didn’t expect that i will feel excitement playing pve.
Well, i did.
About the purge aspect, i am still searching. I want to win but the valid way, no cheats. If it is to win with cheating i can always use creative mode, but that’s not the point of a challenge.
I have several large bases, so I’m not exactly homeless. What kept me playing for 1000 minutes? (Your math is wrong, I clearly stated these take around 10 minutes to do not 20) mostly to test the system? How else are you going to master a system if you don’t test it into the dirt? The purge is very poorly coded, very poorly executed, and I’m sorry if me using those facts to my advantage is “cheating”.
Have I even tried to play alone with the sword of crom? Yes twice, the first time was when it worked correctly and you only got one swing per your whole stamina bar, regardless of how much stamina you had. IMO it didn’t make up for the high damage, especially when at that time it really wasn’t that much better than a crafted Teliths Sorrow, which had no stamina penalties. The second time I used it was after the stamina changes since for some reason the sword of crom no longer deletes your entire stamina bar and is effected by: Rolling Thrust, Twice Drowned Sigil, Sigil of the Fiend. You can easily do full combos with a sword of crom with this setup, which was never the theme or intention of this weapon.
So ironically, you are using a broken weapon while accusing other people of cheating.
Well, it’s not broken! It’s fantastic!,
But you are . You found a broken part of the game and used it to gain painless the best rewards these purges are giving, not for once, not twice, but a hundred
.
Look buddy, building eith exploits, hacking, undermeshing and all the other “goodies” are in the same lvl.
Don’t get me wrong, if you are happy by all means, why should I have problem with it. But again, the whole topic is pointless if you accuse players that tested valid and lost. I don’t know if you are getting me here really, i have nothing against you or your method.
Again, if you are happy it cannot make me sad, on the contrary. But these who lost and are unhappy, i cannot be happy, are you getting me?
Give your feedback, i find it precious and thank you for all of your replies, have fun exile.
Well socially accepted exploiting is fine and to be expected but go too far and it’s cheating. The designation is dependent on nebulous consensus that changes in each server being played in.
Yeah idk the fact that hits guy considers building a 5x5 platform and putting thralls on it “cheating” while also bragging about using a weapon that isn’t even working as intended lol. Im unsure what exactly he wants me to do? He said his strategy was standing in a door way with a spear and being “invincible”, but yet that’s somehow less of an exploit than an open space where they can technically surround you.
By the way: don’t you think that the FC made a mistake in allowing sea water to be used as drinking water?
If siptah, unlike the exiled lands, is an actual real place then yeah: You shouldnt be able to drink the sea water. Probably shouldnt be able to drink the brimstone lake water either… or the snake egg “water” (if thats what it even is).
Huh? If i gave once this message i apologize. I don’t bragg i invite others to fun, it’s different!
But you cheated, shamelessly, 100 times. Shall i consider this bragging . Nah, nevermind, farewell!
I find at lvl 8 or higher I always have at least one thrall that ventures too far without his friends and gets killed. I can try and rush in and save that thrall, which sometimes I do, but the sheer number of NPCs surrounding it makes it a bit crazy!
I mean, it really all depends on where the base sets itself up. Sometimes it’s very very close to me, and other times it’s perfect distance so that none of my thralls go chasing. When it’s super close, all my thralls will just attack, if it’s far, none will, but in the middle is when a thrall just goes too far and gets pulled into the camp by an archer or another NPC.
My coffer is just out in the open, so there’s nothing really keeping my thralls from not chasing besides attack distance.
As a fun side note, the only thrall I lost this past weekend was my Lian. All my purge thralls have Momentum and are geared to the max, some for HP others for Strength. If they don’t get stuck among a sea of NPCs, they all live and barely take any damage!
I must admit, I do miss the old purge. I don’t really like getting thralls in cages, I want to knock them out. I also miss the randomness of which purge I would get. The only thing I don’t miss is the effort involved in getting a purge to come.
At least on siptah you had the convergence trap
How about if this new purge would be to trigger anytime player wants to, and there would still be the chance of normal old purges with the possibility of crafters appearing? The old purge meter system.
I love the new system, I enjoy the crowd fight (if only there would not be those lags and the bugs about it), but the not-tradable or storable only fighter/bearer/dancer thralls there and no chance to get crafter are meh in general.
//effort involved in getting a purge to come.//
Ehm… Well to me it’s enough that I have to clear pathway for them with only one door between them to make them spawn, otherwise they won’t. So in both cases there are some disadvantages. Also today a demolisher thrall spawned inside the walls and managed to destroy my Armorer’s bench with three T4 armorers and other valuable materials inside.

thumbs up
I don’t disagree with crafters on purges, but tbh i would rather see them in chests of victory, or to be sold by the ventor in the end of the purge. Right now thus mechanic is new, people don’t even know how to react and above all it’s not working properly to provide stability. In the old purges if accidentally a crafter was killed it really made me upset. In this chaotic war with tremendous lags online, i really don’t want crafters fighting, i enjoy the idea that i slay relentlessly. That’s why i liked Siptah purges more than exile lands, it was time to kill.
This is even better idea, but…
Right now the salesman you can free from the cage sells nothing that I personally would find worthy for the sum he wants for it. I don’t even spend my keys to free him anymore.
If he would sell the crafters or some other stuff not that much related to the PvP, it could be more interesting. But I get how impossible in story matter it would be. How would he be able to sell thralls when he was imprisoned in the cage himself?
Crafters could be placed inside Stygian camp performing some “working” emote, and once player achieves victory they would “give up” (like the archers on the palisade) and once you click them - you claim them.
I am pro-immersive roleplay friendly solutions I don’t want people in chests etc…
Better idea, but extremely exploitable option.
Imagine any cheesing-natured player who would just summon the purge, then approached the camp in stealth style, looted all the crafters and boxes and the purge would give up immediatelly.
I think it’s good with the rescuing thralls now, because when you free them before defeating the purge, the rest of OP guards in the camp will kill him before you have a chance to drag him to the safe place.
Totally like the idea, but there’s one technical problem here and you know it. They cannot follow you even if they surrender , so you’ll have to club them and drag them to a wheel to make them “people in chests”.
I wouldn’t mind however to have cooks and blacksmiths guarding my area, i count so many deaths from cooks in the past that i would definitely put them guarding .
