First and 2nd light attack hitboxes are awful.
Fix these so connecting hits is easier.
Then reduce dagger damage by 25%. They are supposed to be fast and agile weapons.
Also disallow target lock for daggers.

LOL!!!
“The problem with daggers”… is: Nothing! Absolutely nothing!!!
But a lot of players either overuse them because they think they’re OP - or dunno how to defend against them… that’s true…
Just for the sake of reference, this video is not in coop, correct?
it’s dogs training server
I don’t know why you quote me with a spam message but okay. I think you’ve been on these forums too much and your brain is starting to get fried!
Can you demonstrate how you (as in: yourself) use daggers ?
52 ping should actually tell if it’s a listen server or a remote dedicated server.
This does not happen with target lock on. But target lock is basically autoaim.
Looks like @TeleTesselator completely ignored you here
I did?
I thought I read and understood it… No?
They seem fine to me. They work as expected.
Nah, it’s fine.
What??? No!
What??? No!
Target lock should be a server wide mechanic and for all weapons. Either off for all or on for all. And up to the server admin.
So, to repeat myself:
And I’ll add that when overused expertise is gained (“practice makes perfect”) so there might be too many expert dagger users, nothing we should nerf about. Even if we did then we would just get too many experts at something else. Then what? nerf that too? Eventually this turns the game into little more than a fashion show.
Stop using target lock. You will see then. Do you have any “no target lock” PvP servers in Asia? I would suggest playing there to actually experience what I experience. If you can live with high ping, Empire Core PvP is a good server in EU.
The only time i use target lock is when I’m clubbing thralls with a shield and truncheon. And only then probably less than 10% of the time. I’ve never used TL in a fight except a few times for testing out the differences. That target lock is some goofy shiz man! Using TL against a good player means I die almost instantly. I suppose with practice I could get the hang of it - maybe rapidly turning it on and off as desired or something… My brain does that panic-aggression thing in a fight tho so it would take a lot of practice for me.
Hmm well okay. TL is actually only useful when heavy lag is in play. Because then skill does not matter, because you can’t aim/hit precisely.
Since lag basically almost always happens on officials, I see why TL works well.
People use it for spear. Right before they attack, they TL and then they turn it off again until the next attack.
Hmm, yeah it might actually make sense to try and use under those circumstances or in that way. When I tried it I left it on for the whole battle - which I guess is why I thought it was so funky. But also, when servers lag for more than about 10min, I log off and wait. and while I’m experiencing lag on a PvP server I avoid all conflict - even with dogs and wolves.
For the first time, a good argument for target lock. I think you’ve won me over, Nighty.
But if daggers help a noob, then inthe hands of a vet they would be even more op?
I dunno, but I’m inclined to make the point of not seeing training wheels in olympic cycling events.
Daggers have the lowest skill ceiling when it comes to achieve what you want: kill the enemy player
In a total lagfree environment, daggers are actually not good compared to other weapons (2h spear), because of the mentioned hitbox problem. The spear can keep daggers at bay.
But if the laggs start, a precise weapon like a spear loses it’s precision because of teleporting etc. The fight gets unpredictable. Then it’s only spray’n pray with daggers or 2h hammer.
lol.
this entire forum was in tears when animation cancelling was a thing. it’s why it got removed.
Axel there are some people on here you are better off not going back and forth with. It never goes anywhere
I know. I also know that @TeleTesselator is against any changes on daggers and I respect his/her opinion.
We will see what Funcom does.
