Purely from a PvE/“oh that’s cool!”/I’m-on-console-so-no-mods perspective:

How about parrots that tell anyone who happens by where you stash is hidden or whether or not you anyone is home.
Or a pet goat that just runs around head-butting everyone and then runs away.
Or fluffy kittens that just get under your feet all day long.
Yeah, we could really make Conan a completely new “experience.” 
I would love baby animals. Who are like the cats and turtles, they just wander around your house.
I guess dennis might say that golems cover this already, but I want a pet rock. Golems seem too useful; a pet rock is the perfect combination of sedentary and dignified. That or a Chia Pet. Preferably in the form of a Conan or Razma head.
Snakes. I want to raise a snake from a baby.
I want a large pet snake for my pit under my shrine to Set.

if it was high fantasy i would suggest a catoplebas as a mount lol.
By now i would be happy if mounts was affected by well trained perk too.
